Not sure if I have posted this in the right section , but I have just acquired a clubber off ebay , everything works on it fine except the note acceptor is dead , no light or nothing

Now I spoke to the bloke I bought it off and he said they dont deal with any note acceptors and they get the machines with note acceptor disabled , now the question is how to get it working , any ideas guys as I aint got a clue .

Thanks in advance

The machine is called Temptation , got it off ebay , thats about all I can tell you .

The chaps also said that some of the buttons were removed as they have something to do with the acceptor , they just took the micro switch off on 2 buttons , one was for "change" and other "transfer to bank" .

Loom ? being thick here , what do you mean , there is a connector block on one side that tracks back to the main board , plus a short cable with a connector on the other side just hanging there , nothing to plug it into .

nv7 note stacker loom looks ok from pics, when you machine powers up dose the nv setup do you hear running noise from it for about 10secs on the top side were the dills are dose the led status light up as green or red remember let the machine setup first

nv7 should be in ssp mode which is 1+2 down 3up 4 down or special which know as also cctalk or serial which is 1+2 down and 3+4 up

will find out tomorrow at work can remember what the setup is for astra heres a manual link for your nv7 http://www.innovativ...s/nv7manual.pdf hope its still running they still make the thing well nv9 for note stackers now

Got it for £155

And @Impact , got to the status lights and yeah it is an nv7 , no running noise from it and the bottom status light just blinks red before machine sets up and stays a blinking red after setup , tried both configs and still no good

Is there a dip switch on the MPU which is not on, when i had my Ker-Ching i could turn the note acceptor off by switching the note acceptor off on the MPU board, it does not initalize at all.

Just a guess?

you need new software chips for the update for new £20 notes.

contact innovative technologies who make the note acceptor and they will sell you the update.

Depends on how old the NV7 acceptor is. If it's before week 18 in 2002 then you may need an extra kit from Innovative. Anything newer you can update and certainly don't need any new chips. Having said that you need a DA1 or DA2 kit from Innovative to do it along with the new currency file which you can download from Innovative. Might be worth asking at a local arcade and also probably a lot cheaper.
