Ok whilst Adaware SE is a good program in itself I would recommed using this one to get rid of all spyware registry entries as well..has a Homepage protector and uses very little resources..runs away in the background you hardly notice its there..

ParetoLogic - Products - ParetoLogic Anti-Spyware

Oh PS...If ye need to *cough* buy it to remove the spyware gimme a shout..Ill chip in the fee for ya ;)

try spybot search and destroy but you may need to be in safe mode doing this my friend, remember to empty the trash can before restarting as the virus will replicate

I'll second that.
spybot has a nice feature called tea timer that guards your IE and registry from things being changed without your permission.

I recently converted to Opera only ever used it under linux before never Windows I got so sick of IE taking a full 3 minutes to load (It was slow to the point I thought that I had the pox on my PC). It has this handy feature on it called speed dial imagine clicking new tab and up pops your favourite sites as a thumbnail so you click the one you want.

Download adaware and avg for free and then doe the following

Control Panel - Add/Remove windows componants- Remove Internet Explorer!!!!

Seriously, if you really want to fall victim to script kiddie then use what they use.

If not use:

Firefox

Download Opera Web Browser

Check out more and some reviews @

Alternatives to Internet Explorer - CNET reviews

Personally firefox is the best.

Post a reply if you need more help

I know it's an old thread, but If anyone has this problem you will need to download the relevant programs IE Spybot AdAware etc whatever you want, and u have 2 options. Either install it and fully update it (Do NOT run the program) or install it in Safe mode and hope it's up to date.

Basically, if you install and update, but DON'T run, then run in safe mode and do a search from there, it will remove your problem (if it locates it) as Safe mode stops any program running that wasn't meant to be. Unless of course you're virused. :)
