I downloaded two roms already and both give me invalid layout. Any help would be appreciated...

Hello Chase,
Basically you are using the wrong Emulator hence 'invalid'
If you look in the downloads section you'll see each Emulator has a brief discription of which layouts it supports.

Did you download the Layouts too or just the roms, as there are 'some' layouts where the roms come separately.

It's a MFME 9.4 layout. This is an unnoficial version of the emulator; it can be located in a few places only, do a search on the forums and you will get links to where.

Why do so many people go straight to the V9.4 machines then try and run it in another emulator such as V3.2 ??
I would have thought it would be obvious that V9.4 machines require the V9.4 emulator --- Even I worked that one out !

Most of the newbies are probably 17 so have only played the newer machines that run on 9.4
