Good Afternoon Chaps,

I'd appreciate your help here.

I'm new to Fruit Machines. I have bought a " Barcrest Lucky Strike Club" It is in my Brother In Law's garage at the moment.

I went up there last night to sort a problem with it Not paying out in £1 coins, I switched it on - And the disply screen went haywire - with all numbers, letters and such like, displaying fast, accross it. It did eventually go back to normal (only flickering in between) so i put it down that it might have been a bit cold?

Went up there today, and it just won't stop flickering. Could anyone tell me what this is please? And how i go about correcting it too please?

Has the actual display "Gone" and needs replacing? If so, how much are they and can i just replace them like for like? Or do i need an engineer to come and "programme" it, Please?

While we are on the subject of this Bandit. I moved the "sensor" further up the tube (as suggested by a member on my other thread) and it worked. There are 3 £1 coin Tubes and a 1 x 20p coin tube. It seems that there is no money going into the tube that "pays out" on a win (I have to fill it up anually).

Is there anything that i can do to sort that out too please?

As always, all replies are Appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Don't power it on and dry it all off with a heater and hairdryer as it's probably damp.. Could be lots of things - you take a mobile video of it going haywire if it does and paste it on here so we can have a look.

Or it could be you've accidentally knocked something inside of it when you were moving it. That's what happened with the coin mech on mine. If it's working now and again it could be a loose connection on the display. Even if it does need replacing you can pick them up on e bay for cheap if you get lucky.

most probably the power supply as i've had a few of these go tits up and it affects the lcd display.

it could also be the mpu but i doubt it.

i would try to source a power supply first then a mpu and if its still buggered a lcd display thats identical to the one you had working.

Thanks for the replies.

The actual fruit machine works fine, never any trouble to power up and play. The problem is - that the autual display screen, doesn't display properly. It just displays a load of random letters, numbers and 'mumbo jumbo',

I have a digital camera that records clips on video (approx 15 seconds), how would i post that on here, when i take a short clip of it please?

Many Thanks.

Forgot to mention that i did open the Back up, to change several bulbs.

After i did this i was unable to "collect" any winnings. I then opened it back up and discovered that i had knocked the block connector, going to it. Worked fine when i pushed it back in. I did check "Other" terminations, but they appeared fine.

I honestly can't remember if it went like this before or after opening the "Back" to change the bulbs.
