I won the £250 Jackpot on Club Deal Or No Deal at Rileys in Plymouth. I held all 4 reels (with 'spin spin spin spin' game option) four times in sucession with the cashpot 4 nudges away and it gave me the 4 nudges for the cashpot. Both pots were at maximum. When I won it, I walked away and left the club without changing the coins up into notes, just incase!

And, tbh, these machines always have both pots full these days, especially in busy clubs like a Rileys. Static Cashpots are basicly like a second Jackpot on machines now-a-days. They'd be just as well not being there!

Cops N' Robbers Gold and the latest version of Casino Crazy always seem to be at maximum there. But not Deal Or No Deal. It has not always had both cashpot meters full.

That 'just incase' meant I did not change the £250 pound coins into notes at the counter, just incase the staff took the winnings in coins and gave me nothing back in pound notes. Because I have heard of someone who potted the £250 jackpot on both Red Hot Six and Cops N' Robbers Gold at the Plymouth Rileys (and they are still there) and he got nothing back after he handed his £250 in coins in to change them into notes. When I had the cashpot, I put all the coins into a very strong bag I had on me then I zipped it up. The bag was a little heavy with all those coins though but I managed to carry the bag, concealed in a strong shopping bag. I got out of Plymouth without mishap. There was no possibility of me getting mugged so long as I kept quiet.

If you win something big, always keep it to yourself and leave the club with your £250 pound coins right away, just what I did. Do NOT change them up into notes unless you trust the attendants. Never boast about your big winnings. Take a taxi if possible to wherever.

What ever you do dont take them to the bank to change for notes you might give them the coins and not get any notes back....lol:p

I might be overdoing things really rather than being over the top, maybe too cautious. If you do win a JP, you can change it up if you want to but whatever you do, the risk is up to you. What I did after winning the cashpot went 100% no problem. I once considered stopping playing club machines at Rileys Plymouth.

Staff at clubs can take a person's winnings away if he/she is not a club member - most clubs permit only its members to play and win. But the person who had his JP taken I think was a member.

nice to hear of the big win cashpot but people like yourself who walk out with coin ****es me off when it comes to refloating the machine i would like to see your member ship please and rip it up for only thinking of yourself and not the other members in the club

if you are signed into a members club then you are a full member for the total time you are in the premises.

so no members clubs can say that you shouldn't have been playing the fruit machine as you are not a member.
if you are in the premises and you haven't signed in then the club can be fined.

So this entire episode has been eating away at you for like 18 months? Surely theres more to life than holding a grudge for such a long time.

Your arcade. How would you differentiate between those who supposedly gave you 'abuse', and those who didn't? Will you have US style security in your arcade? Why the US immigration quip? And remember, US immigration officers are outranked by Men in Black. I've seen the film so know the truth. What if one of them come in your arcade dressed in a MIB uniform?

I think that's the most important part. My local club has a card entry system on the entrance door - but they deactivate it on certain nights as they run non-member events in the dance hall, and there is no side-door to the hall itself. Therefore, non-members, without signing in, can sneak into the bar (which doesn't have a manned door) and play the machines, unless staff query their membership in time. However, the machines state in bloody huge letters that only paying members or their signed in guests can play them.

Being a rural area, most of the members know each other pretty well, so spotting non-members isn't normally a problem. It would probably cause a riot if a member lost a fair whack in a machine only for a non-member to sneak in and pot it off a few quid.

I'd also like to say that I don't see why everyone is jumping in to discredit 'mrcashpot' and imply he's paranoid. It's not the first time I've heard of such things happening. I never change up with anyone apart from a cashier at a manned desk, or the arcade manager (only if I know the manager) and should I win, I tend to keep all my coins as well.

^^Ok point taken^^ But to imply that staff would take £250 in coins and not give you the notes back in return is absurd and a little ott to be worrying that that might happen.
