cant get mfme to load any roms - tried reinstalling, loaded the new 9.4, blah blah, but cant get any further than the game manager screen; when i select a game to load, the whole thing just freezes.

jpemu works fine, so i'm guessing it's some problem or setting on my paptop.

any ideas?

not sure how to subscribe to a thread, so if anyone has any useful advice could you pop and email to *removed*

Hi There,

Are you using a AC97 sound card by any chance?

There has been issues with MFME and this type of sound card.

This thread here may help,

Hi Pail, you don't want to state your email in a post as there are programs that trawl the net for these and then spam them to death. Try something like me(AT)home.com for example. (sorry to late, but you can edit the post :) )

The standard problem most ppl seem to advise on this issue is Sound Card Drivers, you should see if yours need updating. Did it work fine before?

(I never had problems with AC97, but then I updated on install)
