Hi All,
I am quite new to all this, but must say I really like the idea of playing all these machines. But i do have one question, sorry if it has been asked a 1000 times.
the £25/£35 JP machinnes that are in all the pubs now, I think they are made by a company called RED, is there any emu's for these? they are some of the most fun machines i have played.

Thanks in advance for your help.

you will not find many of the new machines here, and no i do not think RED machines can be emulated. Im sure someone will confirm. Try downlaoding the emulators and play some of the thousands of fruities available on this site. If you get stuck PM me and Ill guide you through it.

Cheers and Welcome G

i dont know which red gaming bandits you have played on to have had fun, putting 230 notes in one without 1 jp isnt my idea of fun, they really are the worst fruit machine supplier out there
couple of days ago tried one in my local bookies 20 quid without a single win.
they should be burnt and set fire to.

A lot of them can't be done either i believe. But some of the new Bellfruit are eg Cops and Robbers Gold. That's new (ish) i guess.

I actually like Red Gaming machines. I owned a That's Magic for a while before i part ex'd it for my ooh Ah Dracula Club. I reckon Red Gaming are sometimes quite easy to force if your lucky. The way things are advancing at the moment i reckon you'll be able to emulate them eventually.

We have some reasonably recent Barcrests available.
Extreme tended to use the epoch tech so you will not find any extremes emulated yet, This goes for modern maygay and impulse too.
Bellfruit scorpion 4 technology there is some reasonably recent machines but the newer ones are protected so they wont work.

The reason that RED gaming machines do not work is because of the characteriser. Its a kind of security chip and as such we cannot beat it yet.

I would expect all of this to be done one day but until either CW comes back or Agemame gets more advanced forget it for at least the next couple of years.

I suppose an Extreme in the barcrest cabinet potentially can be emulated. Probably a bit too soon though. I think the first one in the barcrest cabinet was 2005 (Doctors and Nurses?)

Re Red Machines
From an emulation point of view do Reds have modified mpu5 board or additional components etc, just seems strange when booted they dont give any sign of life. The Sound Samples are there, seems strange an error message doesnt come on the alpha.

Also when did Red become part of the barcrest group?
