Hi Everyone,

I'm new to these boards but after reading through a few threads I thought I would join as you all seem to know a lot about the machines on the market. I love playing machines in the pub but the new ones are just a bit expensive for home use!!

So my question is what machine would all you buy for home use, I'm looking at paying no more than £300!! A list on a site I found is below but not all of them provide pictures!! I want a machine with a board as I'm not too keen on Hi/Low machines!!
The machines can be seen on the link below:
fruit machine supplier: Select Amusements: fruit machine sales

Thanks for your help!!

Well for my 1st one i ever bought, i bought one i actually liked playing in the pubs. It depends really how much you want to have to fill it up by. Whether you get a higher or lower JP machine. If you get a Club Machine with decals (different JP's) it can be a bit more varied. E Bay is good to get a bargain, but sometimes if anything goes wrong with it you can't always get it repaired easily. Unless you buy it from companies that sell them on there and get after sales service. But generally speaking if anything goes wrong with it someone on here will be able to give you good advice anyway.

The chances are you will get bored with it after a while though. I'd advise you to get one you know you like playing so that doesn't happen as quickly. Everyone has their own favourites. Some places actually let you go down and look at the machine first, or do things like set it up for you and test it at home so you know it's ok.

Let us know which one you decide on and if you got a bargain.

To be honest that list looks quite expensive. Andy Capp £195???
Seriously buy one on ebay and save yourself some serious cash, if anything goes wrong with it then someone on here will help you fix it and probably still for less than the cost price + repair.

Thanks I'll try find one I've played before in the pubs!! I used to love Andy Capp when I was younger in this cafe that let you play on them at any age, wouldn't spend that much on it though!!
I'm a bit wary of E-bay, I've being skanked before but luckily only on something worth £20, I'm a bit wary of buying anything thats a decent amount of cash!! I'll have a look though and try find a bargain!!
Cheers!!

You should be ok if you buy off someone with good feedback or off one of the firms that sell machines on there. I've seen the odd Andy Capp on there for quite cheap. But not for a while now.

Decided which machine I want but now I've got to find one close to west yorkshire!! Played on it before in a pub and liked it - Barcrest Top Dog!
There's a couple on e-bay down south but would mean a 4hr drive at least for me to collect it!! I'll keep looking!!

Some of the firms that sell on there deliver, and they have contact details where you can ask if they have a particular machine in stock. Sometimes they haven't had a chance to list them yet or they have contacts they can get them off. If they deliver, it might be a bit easier than picking it up, especially if they set it up for you as well.

Yes I wouldn't mind paying for the delivery, its just the 2 Top Dog's on e-bay are for collection only!! I'll try some of the other firms who sell on there, cheers!!

If you can't get a Top Dog, you could try if you wanted to get a Big Cheese or a hot Rocks...They are exact clones as Top Dog itself ;)

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)
