Hi there,
Anyone got a ROM dump of a S16/21 machine please?
I know they were hosted here but I've been away and so missed them.
Much appreciated.

Assuming we are thinking of the Rainbow Riches, Elvis, Cashino machines, they were simulators, hence didn't use any of the original game software, so would be no use as far as 'ROM dumps' go.
As you are probably aware they did have to be removed following legal pressure from Barcrest Group (IGT).

Thanks Bencrest... I didn't know they were sims.
I'm looking for an original software dump but guess I'm going to have to get hold of one direct from the machine...!

Your looking at a 4Gb dump then - as they work from a hard drive which is windows based and encoded so of no use to you even if you get one.
And even if you did get in uncoded - you need an RNG that gives off the right signal for the programme to function... No RNG signal then the programme will not load

Thanks again for the advice.
I am not interested in emulating or running the software.
I was unaware of the encryption but this is not a show stopper. The RNG device is no problem.
Any more info that you have would be appreciated.

Memia

You might be best off talking to NAILS
He has a S16 RANDOM SPINNER for sale (ask him if it would be possible to do a rom dump on that)
If you can figure out how that one works then it may give you some kind of knowledge how the others work.

The 'IGT email' was from a patent lawyer absolutely and totally fake its rather like getting a referal to see a brain surgeon from a dentist.
