Also try running it on a higher version of the emulator as there may be certain issues with layouts roms etc in earlier versions of the emulator.

I did that and it worked for about 15minutes, then once I restarted my computer it froze and crashed all the time again.

the game runs in mfme v1 v2 v3.2 and v9.4
first three mentioned can be downloaded from here ..
if the game takes ages to load you will be better changing the DELAY
as i mentioned in my previous post... ( just in case you don"t know how to do it) open game.>click on configuration> and change the delay from 500 to 3500...thats for v1...
you also mentioned about restarting your pc after the game crashed
why do you do this? does your pc crash? just wondering mate cos you may have something wrong here..

No I restarted my computer when I went out then when I came back it didnt work. My computer doesnt usually freeze. The game doesnt load at all now so I cant change the delay, it just freezes and crashes after I choose the game file. ![:(](http://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/frown.gif)
Could it be something to do with my sound card? How do I find out what it is? Or update or whatever? Many thanks x

Is your Direct X up to date ? The latest version is 9c you can find out which one you have on your system by clicking Start..Run and type dxdiag in the box ![:D](http://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
If it needs updating get it here. Download DirectX 9.0c (full package) - the latest version of Direct X

Could also be that he needs to update GFX card drivers worth a try can't do no harm.

No I don't think so Alth...I'm using a Dell from 1999 and original gfx card...lol. The common theme here is that onboard sound. I updated mine at work and it still wouldn't run MFME at all. Guess there must be another issue really. I know one thing. When I finally do buy another computer later this year it will NOT have Realtek onboard sound attached.

I disagree its another thing to cross off the list as to why its not working in this case.

Could also be an Athlon chip problem. My brother's PC was Athlon based, and that wouldn't run MFME too well.
Perhaps the motherboard needs it's drivers updating.
He needs to get the full spec of his PC, and post the results here so we can narrow-down the possible causes.

How do I do this?
So I can post you all the results....
Go into Device Manager, and expand all the categories. Then take a screenshot (press print screen), and paste it into paint or something, and save out the results.
