I work in a stressful job too Ben..dealing with the homeless is very stressful. It'd be nice once in a while to see a post from you having a bit of a laugh though.

Now where's my cider so I can get pissed and post bollocks (99% of my posts)

I try too, but I have nothing to laugh about.

I've just come through another bout of depression (manic depressive), which leaves me pretty much crippled socially.

I'm not going to go into the family stuff but it gets far worse. Far far worse.

I like to come on here and have the odd laugh here and there, and also discuss fruit machine bits and bobs, but it seems like the two-faced #@#@#@#s like Alth hound you from forum to forum.

Now I'll go an see how my mum is, who is lying unconscious on the floor in the kitchen. Then you can tell me how I'm a drama queen who only comes on here to sell stuff, and make some pathetic references Fido and Spot.

If I ever meet you in a street Alth, I'll walk by. Keep up your cross-forum vendetta against me, which I've been willing to let lie, and you'll live to regret it.

No need for that Ben. Myself and Alth used to spar a lot if my memory serves me correctly and over on FF...I think Skizzo has me labelled as a woman hater. Solution? Put him on ignore 'cos he talks so much American crap I can't be bothered to read his posts...and he hates it!!! I've agreed with some of your posts and disagreed and yes, sometimes had a few drinks and had a go at you for what I consider whining...but at the end of the day, it's a forum and nothing else. A laugh, not somewhere to air your problems. But if you do then there are loads of people who stick up for you. Alth is Alth and I am me. Everybody is different. Just because you don't get on with everyone all the time doesn't mean that your contributions to FME have been forgotten. I contribute nothing...so when I make a comment I am considered a dimwit, a newbie, etc...and I think "bloody elitists". I have loads of your DX's and play them so I thank you for them...but blimey guv'nor...life is stressful for all of us...and families are, well, what families are I guess.

In other words, this government has us all under the thumb, enjoy life, get on with it...and enjoy it while you can. I know you have family issues but so do most people. I guess what I'm saying is deal with your family issues and others in private. I can't even imagine posting to anyone on here about my Dad's heart attack last year.....Do you see what I mean?

As for a loss of trade. Madness. Wonder how many non smokers don't go out cause of the smoke. Wonder how many will now start to go out....

I smoke and gamble. I couldn't give a toss tbh. I'd rather play a fruity than smoke a ciggy.

I haven't seen a smoking fruit machine for many years, maybe they should only ban the new ones and leave the pre year 2000 ones for us... They were 10000 times better...

Let's ban everyone from doing everything except me!!! And I should be able to do anything I want anytime I want, including using the "N" word (as in Big Brother), swearing, drinking and whatever else I want.. Plus I should get paid for it... But I have to say whichever side you are on, you got to sympathise with somebody like me who has ended up in hospital because of smoke, and somebody like Daza who has just had a baby (I mean should be able to choose not to have second hand smoke), but you lot should definitely be able to smoke tooo... So not sure what to say... Maybe We should all just get naked and have spliff together???

Well one of my local arcades has a sign outside saying them have a new smoking area. I wonder if you can play at the same time? lol i ain't been in to have a look yet. Does anyone else's arcade near them have anything like that? Is it just chairs outside to sit on or what?

The mecca bingo here has a big metal cage attached to the firedoor - only half of it covered in mesh though, otherwise they would be breaking the law - the management kept having to push people back outside as they started sneaking back in (lol).. Although at the end as the place closed everybody was smoking on their way out knowing the management couldn't stop them all - although the security did try - knowing they could face a big fine and even lose their license.. Strange though Bingo was almost twice as full as I have ever seen it before!! This idea a smoking ban was going to affect bingo business seems to have gone up in smoke!!!

Sounds like they did something similar to a council i was reading about in the paper. They took out part of all their bus shelters so they weren't classed as enclosed spaces. People are allowed to smoke in them but were moaning about the draft!

Well i might have a look just out of curiosity to see how the arcade has tried to get around it. Hope i don't go in and find their back wall missing lol

Jeez where the hell do they get that a bus shelter is an enclosed space, was reading about this somewhere and well........ it makes me MAD!

Was in my local gambling den few days ago and theres loads of immigrants that live nearby, they seem to think that because they arent english they can pretend not to read and walk in smoking away. Manager chases them out bellowing OUT NO SMOKING IN HERE!

Asked him how many times thats happened and he just shook his head

TBH there's more non smokers than smokers go in the arcades near me anyway. At least as far as i've seen. I don't know what they've done really. As far as i could tell there was no room outside to put anything up. Hope they've not been putting machines outside in this rain lol
