hi guys,
ive got a project wild cash that refuses to boot up. i took out the reel optics, press on the motherboard a few places and hey presto it worked... that was 4 days ago and has refused to work since.
the other project machines i have make a beep upon start and then do the reel sequence, but this just sits there wit the strip lamps on.
someone suggested the sound card was not on correctly so removed it, and firmly reeplaced it but to no joy. anybody got any ideas m8s ?

Sounds like either faulty circuits/ board or soldering.. What I did when I had a similar problem was superheated the f***er with a hair dryer... Bizarrely the machine worked fine after that... Don't know whether I fixed it, melted the solder, or just made it so pissed at me it dared not disobey me again... Sure somebody who knows what they are talking about will tell me to stop being silly at this point...

But nails my next bit of advice was to make sure you are standing in a bowl of water while poking it with a screwdriver!!! Nobody can say that won't work!!!

line up the optics on the reels until the lights go out. then reset your machine and run the reel test, you will need to look at the manual to see how to activate the reel test. I have a red resetbutton to press then a green one to press then i press start twice to select the reel test. Mine is broken also at the minute I have a No 21 error says REEL 1 ERROR 21 and says I have a reel index error??? what is a reel index error? Mine usually resets after the reel test but i cant get it run the reel test anymore. hope this helps...

it had nothing to do wit the reels at the whole thing just never booted. to power to the reels , no beep from the sound card nothing.
the motherboard was directly replaced by project and everything is fine. thanks for your help guys
