Bloody hell - Loved this when it was on. Wasn't it on for about 12 years (longest series ever - Lol).

Will be waiting for this to appear on eBay, and when it gets to £25 including delivery will definitely be picking up a set. Best cartoon series ever made.

Will tell my wife a porky pie and say that I'm buying it for the kids - Lol

Wasn't StarFleet a Gerry Anderson puppet type program that laid the path for series like 'Terrahawks' ?

Or the other way around?

Hee hee. I was right. I googled it and came up with this....

Google Image Result for http://www.sausagenet.co.uk/prog/starfleet/starfleet_0.jpg

Scroll down to the Starfleet logo and click it. Not by Gerry Anderson apparently. Rather some Jap dudes.

Ironic that I read this evening that Grange Hill, after 30 years, is finally ending.

Not sure wether to blame incompetent television executives for it's demise or the government and there current education polices with school closures and temp teachers.

Either way, the likes of Pogo Patterson, Patricia Yates, Gripper Stebson, Rowland Browning, and class actor Mr Bronson, who was favoured by George Lucas, playing Adolf Hitler in 'The Tommorrow People', and 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade', plus commander Ozzel in 'Empire Strikes Back', will now reside in TV history, being brought back for a few seconds every now and then with those Channel 4 crap shows like 'Best 100 TV f***-Up's Ever!'.

Grange Hill. Great when it started in the late 70's but losing it as the 1990's loomed.

Does anyone else remember a series of historical cartoons which featured these same few characters. The main two were a big/muscular guy,a smaller skinnier guy,a evil/sneaky guy and I think there was an old guy as well.

Most of the cartoons seemed to be about the Romans but I think they did other periods in history as well. They just don't make educational stuff like that any more.

Also talking about Knightmare earlier, one thing that used to crack me up with that programme was the ineptitude of the contestants at times. They would be near some kind of pit or hole and their friends would say "Take a small sidestep to your left" only for the "Adventurer" to take a sidestep the size of which would would cause most people a serious injury!!! Then they would look dejected as the health/face meter disintegrated before them with that ominous music playing in the background.

Kind of reminds me of the Crystal maze as well, where the people outside would wait till the time was down to about 2 seconds before they decided to tell them to get out!!! Classic!

Anyways I have an excell file (Which needs to be unzipped/extracted) which has 40 pics of old kids tv and you have to see if you know what they are.You have to type the name into each of the boxes and when you move to a different cell it will tell you if you are correct or not.

I hope you all enjoy it.

IT'S HERE!!!

First pic is of the set I got off Tim Skutt over in the states, and on the right is the new released official MCoG set with all extras included.

It's looking like when Star Fleet is done, they are dooing something very similar to what you see for MCoG with extras.

Just had a reply back from Tim Skutt, who did the non-official fan set....

I'm glad you liked the official set. I provided the deleted scenes,
took place in being interviewed, and gave him some cells to use for the
artwork.

I've passed the word along to Richard Walker, and he was happy to hear
your comments.

Take care!

Glad it finally got the respect and the release it so needed long ago.
In fact I'm still waiting to see a sequel!

Tim

Now a sequel would be nice! :)
