If you are downloading the latest machines from this section, please note that the majority of them will require the V9.4 emulator (which is not hosted on this site) They will not work in any other emulator.
This will hopefully stop you all asking why you get things such as INVALID LAYOUT or saying the machines looked SWITCHED OFF or they simply will not load.

<------------------------- Look at the links on the left hand side and go to CLIFFS REPRO - you will be able to find what you are after there.

Or if you use the SEARCH function (which is located at the top of the page - in between NEW POSTS & QUICK LINKS) and search for MFME V9.4 you will be able to find where you can download it from.

Can I use BFM and JPM machines in v9.4?

I have just tried to load Roller Coaster Club (JPM) in v9.4 and it doesn't work - the same thing happens when I tried to load a BFM game. A message comes up saying Layout not found.

Hope you can help - otherwise a will have to post a new thread "Can JPM & BFM machines be used In v9.4 - If Not - Why Not".

Only joking - Good idea.

Hi All

I have made it even easyer as thay dont even have to type in a login and password, Thay just click on the link under the normal log on boxes that says log in as guest and thay are taken directly to the folder with all of the emus in not only v9.x but also older versions for compatibility and of JPEMU and the old BFEMU from ReA as well.

First I want to say just how great this site and the people who are sharing their advice are, especially Daza the first great post, helped me alot!

Ok Newbies (myself) here's what I did and i would say I have a cool setup.

1) Download that auto installer in this site's downloads, select custom and install all 5.
2) Download MFME 3.2, extract and replace all the files in the MFME dir.
3) Goto reproserv (link left) and download 9.4 and/or google 10.1a, 9.9 then copy the exe's across.
4) Download the new JPemu 2.51 fromt this site, rename the old JPemu.exe to JPe250.exe, now you have both.
5) Update BFMulator 2.07, and again copy the new exe into the BF folder.

This means you have many versions of the 3 emulators, the file layouts, etc. Now the setup:

1) Goto the Tutorials Page of this website, read 3 and print them off, they are good and 2of3 have pics.
2) You should already have the layouts downloaded for the 3 various machine's, and the screenshots.
3) Extract the files which need extracting, it says in each tutorial.
4) Extract the screenshots to each shot folder.

I don't think you can go far wrong with this, ok it's not as easy as Mame, but if you think this is hard, try setting up VPinMame!!
Common sense and google, is your main weapons here!

Major snags? E-mail me: chrisscoles@o2.co.uk

Chris

Now I'm going to take a look at MAGE and the Fruit Mame32 version.

Good Post Chris

VPinMame was an absolute nightmare --- Have to say I think the package for all this is self explanatory (and a lot of work has gone in to that and the help pages), plus if anybody does have any questions people "WILL" help them as best they can - People need to at least have a go themselves first though, after all the advice is all there and we aren't babysitters :)

Well we do already have a sticky about downloading v9.4 in this section already mate.

Might be worth adding posts like the original one, and also the one chrisscoles posted to the knowledgebase though
