In case anyone wasn't aware, the latest teaser trailer was announced earlier tonight on Rockstar Games website, in both standard and high definition.

EDIT] Seems you have to go to the Rockstar page and navigate their manually, probably because of the age-restriction measures.

Anyway www.rockstargames.com should get you there.

If you have a decent broadband speed (at least 2Mbit) and a display capable of showing 1280x720 then I'd definately download the HD trailer.

I don't have a next-gen console yet but it's this sort of game that made me go 'next-gen' then GTA3 was released on PS2 - although this time around I'll go with Microsoft and the 360, seing as how it represents excellent value for money.

Must admit the 1st trailer had a lot more impact, and a lot more subtle content - it demonstrated stuff like the dynamic lighting, amount of NPCs you could have on screen... this trailer '2' is OK but not as good as I expected.

Plus I downloaded the zip file and the video stutters like Gareth Gates on ephedrine.

TBH am ganna shy away from looking , Because GTA awesome game , Best ever ... BUT why aint they made it for the most pop console out there ps2 ??

Not every one can afford new consloes every year and TBH am well happy with ps2 , Just think its time game world levelled itself and back realesed for ALL yes ALL enjoyment !! ... Am i wrong ????????????

I am looking forward to gta 4 and halo 3,I just bought colin mcrae dirt and its awesome,was also impressed with forza motorsport 2.

Maybe not DT and TBH i dont know havnt not looked but i can imagine your perfectly right in saying that, it will be awesome to see on ps3..

But why oh why do we always have to upgrade to play the games we love on the CONSOLE THAT WE MADE SUCCESSFUL ?

Tricky question. I guess they could release a version limited to 480p maximum output, and the textures / game files would fit onto a normal dual layer DVD. However, it just wouldn't be the same. It would be nowhere near as good graphics as the PC version - if and when that becomes available - as that'll probably be 1280x720 upwards anyway.

IMHO the PS2 had plenty of games of this nature - take GTA 3, GTA : VC, GTA : SA, GTA : LCS and GTA : VCS - so it's fair for Rockstar to move exclusively onto the next-gen hardware.

Disagree Ben , We ALL love GTA , and its a simple marketing ploy not to release on ps2 , it could easily handle a new version .. Bottom line !! MONEY !! .. WRONG

Try the file on Divx Player. I had the old stutter problem before on another hi-res trailer I downloaded.

My point was the PS2 has been made into what it is today, now its the PS3's turn.

Yeah I suppose you are right about the money because if they release it on PS2 who is going to buy a PS3 to play it.

Because, the PS3 i s the flagship console of the fledgling Sony. The Playstation, coupled with its HUGE pricetag, compared to the Wii and xbox 360, and delay will undoubtably suffer. Releasing ANY new games on the PS2 will f*** them over. Face it. you want to play GTa 4, you have to buy a PS3. Sony, areant daft.

In the past, GTA3 was only released on PS2, before being eventually released on Xbox as part of the GTA : Double Pack.

This year, it would certainly appear that there will be a simultaneous release on both Xbox360 and PS3.

To be honest, I'd go for Xbox360 at the minute. I have no need for HD-DVD or BluRay playback at the minute, so I could buy an Xbox360 for around £189, get a memory unit, and play GTA IV. I could get the HD Component lead from Argos for a fiver (current sale price) and play it in HD. Compare that to the PS3 - which currently costs 2x the price, and if you are only wanting a 'gaming' system I think it's a no-brainer.

From what my brother has heard apparently GTA 4 is gonna have a exact replica of a map of NY city. That's going to take some doing. I don't realistically think a PS2 could cope with that! There's no point really in Sony releasing PS3 and still making games for PS2. You can't please everyone. If you had spent over £400 on a console you'd want the games to be released for that and using it's full potential. Otherwise what's the point?

I wondered if they were gonna do a San Andreas Stories as a last GTA game for PS2 in keeping with the last 2 released. Now it looks like they ain't gonna. One of the reasons i'll be getting a PS3. That and MGS 4 Sons Of The Patriots.

Sorry wasnt really thinking xbox360 wise, didnt mean you have to get a PS3.

People *are* stupid enough to pay that much money to play one game, believe it or not.

With what it costs to make a game these days you'll see very little in the way of exclusive games from 3rd party companys.
