By the way if you were inclined you could put any skin on this machine (for example I would not suggest it or think it right but somebody could just put a proper Partytime skin over the top in a matter of seconds if they had the inclination - ;) )

I have spent months of the creation tool so will be releasing that as chargeable (these screenshots are not of the creation tool, but simply the basic editor in the parti simulator) - But with the parti one it all depends how much more work it takes really and how good it is.

Looks straight forward to me.

Why are there 17 reel stops, and how do you configure reels 4,5 & 6?

Also for added realism, the reel symbol sequence could do with a slight alteration. Here's the correct sequence for Party Time.

I have deliberately off sinked the reels to make them slightly different to avoid getting in trouble, however I have made them configurable for that reason - Somebody could release a skin package with those updates done even a skin that looks like the real thing and sound effects if they wanted. It would take a very short time to do.

There are 17 reel stops because I picked that number - but on the creation tool you can even choose the quantity of stops. I will not be putting a config editor for feature reels 4-5-6 (simply because it would be irrelevant and take too much time) as the win is predetermined, however the creation tool will allow this.

I am in the process of making 3 seperate creation tools -

1 - Lo tech machine creator
2 - Feature (Hi tech) machine creator
3 - S16 creator

Although the first one to be released will be the Lo tech one the S16 creator will follow quickly afterwards.

PS I will be changing this machine to 16 reel stops now, thanks DAD

I would defo at least charge for the tools if you do decide to release them too. Must be taking you ages. Would be good to see what machines people can come up with of their own creations.

To be honest the tools are easy to write - it's allowing a variation in logic which is causing the issues, but I think I have got around this now (so that all machines don't seem to play similarly). I am going to get around this by using several different standard logics and a configurable set too - so pretty much you should be able to create any lo-tec (obviously all the optional features will need to be coded as add-ins which I am getting through), but you should be able to create a conversion of almost any machine, or request extra code (which is why I will be having to charge for this, as the support function would be massive for the tools, as I would have to continuosly add mod addins).

The parti machine will be available in between 3-7 days,

Sounds good mate. Looking forward to it. Guess it might give more people a chance to have a go and see what they can come up with. Should make you a few bob too. Fair enough considering all the work that's gone into it.

If done correctly it will work FANTASTIC!!

After a long few hours, i have been converting all the sounds, reels and nudges etc piecing them together so they work will with the sim, and have just about finished. A few notes before you run off to download.

BUGS
Nudges need to appear before they change
The winning keys which state the value of a win are incorrect because i have changed the icons to partytime.
The top board always starts at the original icons

Thats about it, but i think its because they are hardcoded into the EXE somehow.

Preferably, the author could

Remove all the harcoded images (I think thats why they "stick" even though the correct images are in the folders)

Remove the win values from the GUI

Remove the Party Zone writing from the bottom

I have combined a few music files to create one top player music which sounds terrific in my opinion. Ive been using a majority of programs and done the best i can do with the quality of images i had available. All sounds are changed to party time. Hopefully the author can edit some of the GUI so it works better with these custom files. Anyway, here it is.

Download, then unzip to %apppath/programfiles/partyzone

Can i also just add some small bugs with the sim itself, regardless of the files.

+The machine does not bring it down if a win is two nudges away and you have one left (Like the real machine).

+Also, when holding a config similar to

O - X - O

+If you hold them all, it gives 3 nudges (not always), in my long experience playing party time this has never happend on a real machine.

+Also, have you thought about the nudges let em spin if the hold after the nudge feature? It works great but as of yet hasnt spun in a higher win, which is regular on real machines, for example it will hold with two red x's on the line, and bring in astras.

Apart from that and the things ive outlined in this post its a cracking sim mate!

I guess it would have been nice to ask me about this before breaking ASTRA's copyright!

I purposely didnt include any astra artwork for that reason.

However......


The "bugs" you mention are not bugs as the features you describe were not put in eg the Nudge time out "cheat " as was said on the early thread...

The hold after nudge is only set to give you 3 of a kind of what you had on winline as i didnt want to "copy" every single thing off the machine due to legal bits and same goes for the gfx.

This however could be put in if it was worth my while....


As for making the other changes i just dont want to invest anymore time to it as people didnt even want to pay the £3 anyway....

And if i was to do all the changes that allow you to use your images and sounds plus ADD a party time CAB then i would want to charge a fee again which im guessing people will NOT want to do....

But feel free to PM me with any ideas

why dont you ask the people who have paid fot the sim if they r prepaired to buy add ons for the sim.i would happily pay for the cabinet & any other features has this is one of my favorite machines

I am sorry if ive upset you steve with my post, and excuse me for labelling them bugs when you purposely did not want them features.

My post was to illustrate that people dont want a party "zone" sim, i didnt find it gave the same experience as a real party time machine, but my post stated some small things that if done would work awesome and really would give the look and feel of the real machine.

With regards to astras copyright, im going to PM you know.

Best of luck and i do hope you bring this further, its just awesome!.
