Run Cpu-z look at the SPD tab this shows information on the memory you have installed and how many slots are there and if any are empty.

I've run it on my PC and attached a pic for ya in slot #1 on my board I have a 256MB stick of PC2700, that is it can run at a FSB of 133 or 166 @ DDR so to upgrade this pc I would need a compatible stick of PC 2100 or PC2700 as Nails said a PC will run as fast as its slowest component. In effect that RAM is underclocked. I know its confusing but post what shows in there and we can see what ram it takes.

Noticed you have AOL, heres a tip so you can go online without having to use the memory hogging AOL application.

Create a new connection. Control panel/network connections/create new connection.

Select the top option/set up manually/connect using username and pass, type in aol as the name then type in your user and pass.

You can now surf the net without using the main AOL app but you lose your direct acess to emails and all the favorites you may have had. Also you will start having to use IE or firefox.

You can still acess you emails by setting your homepage to AOL.com - Welcome to AOL
