I'm still not done with fixing my MayGay Monopoly (Green), it was working for days and then back to reel errors again. I'll be changing all the connectors this weekend, but I have another question.

The machine has some truoble acquiring the 12volts it needs. There's a relay that flips if the correct voltage is available (I think). I can hear that relay going a couple of times, each time the machine starts, kind of like a failed kick start. Any engineering types have ideas what might be causing this? I tried rebuilding the Capacitors in the power supply but ending up having to revert some of them because it stopped giving the 12 volts alltogether.

Many thanks,

Wayne

Thanks, oddly enough when doing the original testing switching the harness seemed to indicate that the problem was more likely with the MPU or the connectors / harness. At least the problem with the Reel Errors, that is. The Reel error has actually moved from the 3rd Reel (which works fine now), to the 4th reel, and switching harness connections keeps the error on the 4th reel. I suspect the MPU's battery leak damage or the connectors.

That aside, I was wondering if the other issue (the fact that the power supply relay is resetting before the reels are even tested) has more to do with a problem in the power supply? I was just curious to know if anyone has had a specific experience with this particular issue. After 2 or 3 tries, the relay and the 12v kicks in properly.

Thanks for all your help and patience.
