I watched some bellend put £200 through this a few weeks ago, smash his pint glass on the floor and walk out the pub.

Ya pays ya money, ya takes ya chances ;)

its a really stupid jump from £10 to £35, showing that barcrest put absolutly no effort in doing one of their first £35 upgrades.

Yes you've been ripped off m8. Sounds like they've not upgraded it properly. I've played this machine loads and doing very well off them. £25 JP is better than the £35 JP. Mega streak is supposed to be a guaranteed Jackpot. There's no written law to back you up but i've had MS over a 100 times and it's never given less than the Jackpot. It' not supposed to otherwise it shouldn't automatically collect the MS when offered it would allow you to continue gambling for the £35 cash shot or Jackpot feature shot.

Mega Streak does not have to give jackpot value. When I was playing machines, I'd taken several Mega Streaks on £25 machines and been awarded £20 - sure it was often £25, but it doesn't have to be.

On the £35 of Cock a Doodle Dough or whatever it's called (which I haven't played, and never will) I assume the £35 can be awarded through Mega Streak, if the machine wants. Having said that, it's entirely possible that (from what I have seen) it can only be awarded from the £35 shot value, or from the jackpot on the winline (assuming that pays £35).

I can think of several machines that the top feature is less than the jackpot - see 90% of the club machines for a good example - although as Alth said "Donkey Kong", all the way to the top for £4 on a £15 machine... But there are lots and lots of others. most of the £35 lo-techs feature can be less than the jackpot (even though sometimes the nudge drop will drop feature instead of jackpot after a hold).

I'm sorry but i disagree with you there. In 12 years of playing fruit machines in pubs i've never had less than JP value off a megastreak that auto collects.
The only machines from memory that have a megastreak that doesn't give at least JP value are the Bucks Bunny, Magic Money clones and that's because megastreak isn't the top streak.
I know Donky kong wasn't JP when you reached the top but that was a different era of machines like It's a knockout, rich & famous,Winner takes all e.t.c
The only machine that sort of cheats you is pulsation, as that doesn't give a guaranteed JP when you gamble to the top but then there isn't actually anywhere else to gamble to get the JP, that's how they get around it. Where as on CADD the JP is obtainable on both cash & feature shots so the machine automatically collecting MS when the JP is still available would be outright Cheating you.

games media rubbish i guess ure on to there gambo... the streak is the name of the fruit... mega streak, even if red, is £20 max and is listed as 1 of the lower features on the shots board. if the mega streak over rides the cash pot/jp and auto collects upon hitting it..< which it will> then it HAS to give you the value of the jp... minimum, cant understand why people have to continualy argue the basics of fruit machines?

in 14 years in being a fruit machine engineer i can confirm that megastreak that auto collects (unless you have invincibility mode)does NOT mean you are due the jackpot.

this was confirmed just recently on a getting ziggy with it a few weeks back that i was testing which gave 19 quid on the mega streak.

in the same boat the mega streak can give you more than the jackpot.

gambogaz1

i very rarely happens that you get less than the jackpot but it does happen.

i could get the mega streak on a machine say about 20 times and at least twice it COULD give me less than the jackpot.

Well thankfully i've never witnessed it but in your example GZWI doesn't autocollect the megastreak, you have to collect it unless it's red. As I say if a machine auto collects Megastreak when the JP is still there on the board to be got at and the machine failed to roll at least the JP value i'd demand a refund of the difference from the machine manufacturer because that's just as bad as say a landlord running over and pressing collect to prevent you from getting the jackpot.
