Might get that DX of the Big Breakfast off Pook after all then...Yahhhh bring it on :)

Don't think so mate, I'm sure Big breakfast needs an mfme v3x version to run. Could be wrong though...

Anyway even if it did run it, it's not that the disc reel didn't work, it's that it was running the opposite way to what it should... with no option to switch it.

I was playtesting Pook's Big Breakfast, so will be able to say if it works when I test it later, unless Pook himself or someone who he has given it to also, tests it first.

I can't see it working properly myself as these emu's are pre v3.2. It's a shame Pook doesn't release it as it is, because it is still 99.9% perfect and it's a real corker.

Nope sorry, this apparently fixes MPU5 disc and not Scorpion 2 which BB is.

I don't actually think the disc reels are working on the mpu5's now, i think all that's happened is, that the roms for machines which do have disc reels, dont just crash as they did before.

Please note Fruit-Emu's stance regarding the v9+ MFME is unchanged, feel free to discuss but no direct links please.

Revolution is up and running, there's a shot of a WIP over at FF.

It certainly isn't a "proper" disc reel (just a normal reel in fact) - but it works!

Revolution certainly works OK, including the steps.

Haven't tried BattleAxe.

No machine that uses a "proper" disc reel will work. Try and load up two of the machines that already have disc reels.

Firecracker, and Rota Note. It will say 'invalid layout'

The only way you'll be able to play machines that originally used a disc reel, is by using a normal reel instead.

If it means Revolution & clones are playable, it's a pretty big deal - these were are almost certainly the most interesting range of MPU5 machines Barcrest produced.

Well a "proper" disc reel is essentially just a different incarnation of a "normal" reel anyway.

Personally speaking, I couldn't care less as long as it spins and shows the numbers it's supposed to :D

Perhaps I'm turning into a bit of a snob. :D

If it is just playing a classic, I can't see the problem. But doing DX's for these disc reel machines may prove a bit tricky.

Worse than Newport?

If the disc reels won't work, then still with the classsic how about a "disc aid" that goes around the normal reel?
Then it will also give better opportunities for steps etc, and should be useful especiallly with Hot Numbers.

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)
