I'll be honest, I don't like people making ANY kind of profit (no matter how small) off something that I've done. Thats my only reason.

Also, as i said mate.....

i know people like Ady, Trouty and a few others are more than happy to send DVD's including all layouts out to people for only the cost of postage. What if they were to charge an extra £1 or whatever because many people were requesting it........ just due to the cost of the time it takes for them to do it?

Would you want to put warnings on then?

I think I'll just add an advert for fruit emu instead, just to get the site a bit of advertising.
I still don't like the ebayers though, and I now hate you cake boy. :)

*edit* All those guys have contributed (time, money and effort) so no it would'nt bother me.

You see now that's a much better idea...... then you can be sure people have the option.

Don't get me wrong, if you want to do these thing's to your layouts, great. It's not going to harm me in any way. Just seems wrong to me to lock layouts, and as for putting warnings on them, i just think it will look crap and pointless lol.

I just wanted to make it clear that if you all start to lock your layouts etc, don't expect me to jump on onboard.
Also that in my opinion, it's not going to help.

I still don't like the ebayers though

Nor do I, I just don't let them bother me anymore, because they are doing absolutely no harm to me, or anyone else in the scene at all!!

and I now hate you cake boy. :)

Have you been knocking about with the DR of DX'ing lol?

I've had a really hard think and I know the main problem (at least as far as I'm concerned) I've not being doing this very long, so as soon as I see something I've made being sold it bugs me. The guys who have done this for longer have had time to get used to it. Thats it in a nut shell.
As for locking layouts, never done it and never will. Mainly this is so people can see how I've done them so they have a reference to learn from, whether its to see how to do or not to do something.
Hopefully the ebay issue won't put off any new DXers. I'm betting someones gonna come along and raise the bar for DXing standards. :)

Trust me mate, I fully felt the same way when I started doing layout's, the amount of emails i sent to these guys and ebay was amazing lol.

As time goes on though, you realise that most thing have been tried before.... and that the ebay sellers aren't going anywhere. We personally don't suffer from what they do... which as i said, is why i try not to let it bother me

exactly, I'm glad you see it that way:)

Let's hope so.... from what i have noticed there have been a few new faces doing layouts over the past year, some have only released a couple..... some seem to have enjoyed it and stuck at it. Nice to see new designers either way:)

I still don't agree with people making money just for making a disc/DVD it's cheaper to make ya own. Although i admit that would take a while but that's only if you wanted LOADS, and not just newish ones, or ones you play regularly. I've had a few mates asking me about these discs and i just direct them here. Credit goes out to people that at least put the site link on their ads and make it clear you can get them for free. But not all of them do that.
Ey Up!
