Hello everyone. Ive recently bought myself a Sting King Rich fruit machine, which im keeping in the garage and have had much fun playing on already. Ive got all the keys for it, except refill key. I have just found the two switches to get the machine into test mode, and had have a bit of a problem with the payouts.

It would seem the coins are getting stuck in the chute between the actual hopper and the area where you scoop the coins from with your hand, i shine a torch up and can see pound coins, but cant reach them with a pencil. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how i can rectify the problem.

Many thanks, Nick

EDIT: Sorry i didnt mention this before, but its an MPU5 machine made by Red Gaming, in a Genesis cabinet

best way is to remove the hopper and stick the pencil downwards to unblock it or screwdriver which ever is longer.

also it would be good to get some polish and a cloth and clean the chute making sure there no chewing gum stuck in there

its just dirt thats causing the problem

best thing that i find cures it is if possible get a wire coat hager and straighten it out into an l shape.

get a damp cloth and attach it to the coat hanger and stick it up the front where the coins come out.give it a good clean and you should then find the coins come out properly.

Thanks a lot for the help. I will try that. One problem ive noticed is the chute from the hopper is in two seperate sections with a sort of concealed flat plateu in the middle, if that makes sense. I will post a picture. Does anyone know how i can get into this section without causing any damage to clean it?

Thanks, Nick

Here are two pictures of the chutes, i poked around with a rag and the problem has got a lot better, but the chute that connects to the actual coin trough where you get your winnings seems to have a flat surface before it and thats seems to be where the build up is. As you can see from the picture this area is quite hard to reach, any ideas?

Thanks, Nick

Thanks for the help guys, i managed to clean one area and perform a hopper dump twice in a row without any coins getting stuck. Hopefully the problem is gone.
