Hi all. I used to live in London in 1998 and there was this fruit machine that I loved to play, but for the life of me I can not remember the name of it or who it was made by. It had a row of cards from 2 of diamonds up to the King of diamonds at the bottom. When you were in the high/low part of the game the cards would "flip" (animated) from the 2 to the king. If I remember correctly, I think it had deluxe in the name. If anyone can help me figure this out and if there is a ROM for it I would be most greatful.

Thanks Daza, I opened it up and ran it, but it wasn't the one. It looks similar to that, but the one I am looking for doesn't have those four queens at the bottom. Thanks for replying so quickly. Do you know if there is a database of fruit machines that were manufactured for each year? I am sure if I see the name of it I will remember it.

Not sure if there is a database of machine names for each year
If you do a search through the download section for machines with CARD in the name - the machine you want may be there.

Hmm...I think you're referring to the mirrorcard unit where the cards appear to "flip".
Can you give us a bit more info? Was it a club machine? If not, what was the jackpot on it (if you can remember).
The mirrorcard was well used by a couple of manufacturers, though it was patented....
BGT had a machine out with it, in their horrible Spanish "piano keys" cabinet. Think it was called Super Suits or something. Bag o shite.

Hi edwardb, you are correct about the mirrorcard function. I am not sure what a club machine is. But the jackpot was 200 pounds. It was on a military base. I will see if I can find anything on "Super Suits". Thanks for all your help.

Could be Club Celebration although that went up to an Ace and it was clubs instead of diamonds. I thought that was out a lot earlier in the 80's. Maybe a remake? Try searching for that one and let us know.
If the JP was £200 then it's definitely a club machine (4 reels, not 3)

Not Maverick then by JPM, unless there was a club Maverick.
As Gaz says, Celebration, Club Blackjack, one of them maybe?

Always nice seeing a machine that you used to play.

There should be a layout for it in the download section, here. Have a search, and see what comes up.

I did find 3 when I searched for "Super Blackjack" but I can't get them to work. It also did not look like the one from the image that Pook posted. I will keep searching. Hopefully I will find it somewhere!

The ones in the downloads here are incorrect by the looks of things. Here's a "classic" layout (no background of the real machine), for you to try.
It was originally done by Troutman, yonks ago.

I can't get it to play. What program do I use to be able to play it? I tried using MFME 2 and 3 and it opens but I can't play it. I press the buttons or use 0 to insert the coins and when I press the spacebar nothing happens. Thanks for your help.

It should work on MFME3.2, mate. Once you have opened the layout on MFME3.2, click on File/Preferences, then tick 'Auto Throttle'.
It works fine, my end.
