I got a problem with it - it won't let me run the Test Center, saying I haven't permission, but I'm logged in as Admin...

I run the free AVG and assume this is the one you are talking about. My advise is to uninstall it and download again, saving you all the technical gobbledygook. I had to do this a few months ago - Works perfect now .

AVG is the dogs bollocks. Keeps catching the odd virus that even Norton 2007 can't get and I'm using the FREE version 7.5.
My guess is that you are trying to use a pirated copy or a copy that has been used before and therefore it registers itself on the website. My advice is to just download the free AVG and use that instead.

Grrrrrr - I just uninstalled existing AVG in favour of 'free' version, and it's corrupted my user rights, no 'Shutdown', no 'Run...', and worst of all, no firewall!
