You're friendly fruity lover from Canada here.
I finally took some time to replace the Reel Opto Header pins on my MayGay M1A Monopoly (Green) that I acquired, and either that or resoldering the reel interface board components got my fruit machine working 100% again. (and of course that only a couple days after purchasing a replacement M1A board - so I have a spare).
Now I want to get the ME126TS coin acceptor working and paying again. SOmeone had cut the token credit wire and hardwired in a bypass switch to award credits. I re-connected the wires and it started recognizing tokens & pound coins (I don't have any 20p coins) with the test, and I did a front load with the refill key which seemed to work. The three payout solenoids test 100% too, they kick out coins. My problem: when the machine goes to pay out in non-test mode, it simply counts down the credits quickly to 0 with a little sound beep, but no coins come out of the machine and solenoids don't fire. I'm not sure if there was a purposeful but simple mod that the previous owner did in order to be able to play and pay without coins or something else.
Can anyone familiar with the ME126TS first give me a run down about how the machines were supposed to be set up and filled in operation, and what happens in terms of payouts if the machine is set to Tokens vs. Cash? My manual assumes you know this from experience.
Any troubleshooting ideas why it might count down the payout but not release coins?
Many thanks, as always, in advance,
Wayne

double check that all your door switches are working properly because this is what it does when machine is in demo mode, machine will take coins aand credit them but will just count down the payout and it sounds like thats what the machine is doing.
i can get the tokens to you know if you want to pm me with your details.
the price quoted was for the tokens only and postage.if you want 20p's as well then you would have to add that to the price.

Thanks for the info Baz, I'll check this first, it sounds like a good posibility, the door switch looked slightly broken to me.
Do you know if the machine would need 20p if running in token mode? (It has a switch selectable Cash and token mode in addition to any DIP switched on the MPU.)
Thanks,
Wayne

if its on token mode then it still looks to pay out 20p's if its under a certain amount.

Oh, so even in token = 20p mode, are you saying that if you win say
£10.40 it will pay out £10 in £1 coins plus 2 x 20p coins? Is there any way to make the machines take and pay out in tokens only like they would at a casino?

If the win collected is under or equal to £3 (if £6 JP or £4 if £8 JP) then it will pay it in cash. So if you collected £1.20 it would want to pay out 1* £1 coin and 1* 20p sterling coin. If you collected £6 and £1.20 then collected it all at the end it would pay out 30 * 20p tokens, 1* £1 coin and 1*20p sterling coin. So it will need to be able to use 20p cash and tokens if in token mode. Although if that gives too much trouble then there is always cash only mode.
Someone must have the Mars 126 manual though. As I've already said, I only have the part of the manual that deals with routing so I can't help much.

All good info. I wonder if it can be routed or modified so that it pays out 20p tokens instead of 20p coins. That would be a great boon to me as I have pound coins and some 20p tokens to experiment with, but no 20p coins (expensive to get shipped here to Canada).

PM me your email address and I'll send you the tech manual for the coin mech.
Sounds like the door switches are wired in reverse to me! You should be able to teach & run a token on this mech with the little arrow-dial switch thing.

The rotating switch thing is on the coin controls mech, not the mars mech as far as I know.

Maygay M1A schematics.
Many many thanks to Fruitsim and DT over at the mecca for these.
Edit: If someone wants to upload these to the repro, I'm sure they will be useful.
