hey all.....
i saw a sign the other day that said "no mobile phones allowed in the arcade"
is this just because its annoying to other gamers or is this a thing they all do for some security reason?? (cant think what)
just curious.:bigeyes09:

i was in teddys once and they told me phone outside when i said its a duff rule maybe ages ago but they cannot manipulate the machines via the signal and interference, they believe they can, anyway i complied because i dont wanna cause trouble but i said theres more chance of these manipulators on ebay working over a mobile

This stems from some old features on machines that would flash up a code sort of like simple simon type feature (2-1-3-2-1-1-2-3-2-1)
Then you had to hit the hold buttons in that order, the more you got the more you progressed up the cash stack.
People just used to type it into their phones and hey presto.

just dumb ass's paranoid arcade staff / owners

I remember the follow me sequences.... I used to have things like 2 3 2 2 1 2 3 1 3 1 2 for £5 and I'd get my fingers in the right position and press all the buttons in under 2 seconds. damn funny to watch and shocking when it says correct and gave me the money. Didn''t work on the later machines as they were too slow and my pressing was quicker than they registered lol.
