Lovely day for it isnt it ?

Anyway, iam having a bit of bother downloading the fmeiw.

I downloaded it a few minutes ago.It then asked me what files i wanted to open it with.I clicked on desktop,which it didnt allow, i then tried to put it into my documents.

Now everytime i click on the fmeiw icon( which looks like a piece of microsoft paper then the usual fmiew icon ) it says " windows/desktop fmiew zip is not a valid win 32 application "

I have downloaded this before succesfully,bit cannot ever remember it prompting me to open it with other files.

Does this make any sense to anyone ?

I've just noticed ive only got windows '98.Does this mean i cannot download the fmeiw v2 ?

Ziggy,

I have just checked the file, and I have accidently uploaded the wrong file (Doh) well I am human after all!

I have uploaded and checked the file and all should be well now.

So click on download file, select save and select a location. Once this file is completely downloaded go to that location, and extract the zip to a directory (don't just double click and then launch), you will need winzip or similar to do this (note XP has zip extraction built in) then once extracted run the fmeiw.exe and the setup should then start.

This application works file on Windows 98 (any version)

Thanks Wozza.I am downloading it as i type this.I was also wondering if i need to download winzip in order to unzip the files, i take it there is no other way of extracting the files on windows '98 ?

I ve just downloaded the fmeiw ,tried to oped it and no joy.Saying summit like access to specified path denied.Its a bit of a nightmare as every time it does this i need to download again and its taking me 20 minutes each time.Oh no ! its closing tonight too !

Problem sorted.I just need to download winzip on to this laptop.!

Winzip is a must on 98 as all the downloads on this site are 'zipped'
