These will start to become quite rare as they are phased out. I went on the boat to I.O.M for my hols and noticed one of these on there next to some £250 JP ones. It had gone when i come back on the boat yesterday. Maybe it was just being repaired but i reckon they got rid of it cos of the new laws coming in. Not a bad price but i wouldn't fancy having to fill it.

lol they replaced it with a £250 Club Crazy Fruits Gold. I counted at least 5 Cops n Robbers Golds on there. They must be good takers. I wonder if they just scrapped the Fortune 500 or someone bought it privately?

The UK laws don't apply to the IOM ferries, they can have whatever the f*** machines they want on there.

(Ever noticed how they turn the machines off once they start their approach to a UK port?......)

is this because they know the FE and FF clan are waiting at the dockside to stick there nuggets into these machines when the ship comes to dock.

All the Reflex reel machines (vegas, fortune etc) cannot be converted into B3, C or D at all and are therefore illegal are should not be operated.

Actually it's the other way round mate. The machines can only be switched on 16 or so miles out of Manx waters and must be switched off before you sail that far in. They were on when we docked at Liverpool. Manx laws are a lot stricter. You never saw sec 16's everywhere over there. There are a few £500 JP ones in the arcade but not many.

The payouts? Not too bad to be fair. The only ones i found to be a bit turd were the ones that are over here anyway!

Just a little tip for anyone with a £500 machine. Fill the hopper with pennies, they pay out just the same and means you don't have to have £700 tied up in the float.

You learn something new everyday! I wouldn't have thought that would work. Is that for most machines or just this one?

As far as I know, it is the same hopper to pay out 10s or £1s in arcades. Mine is a standard hopper (Scorpion 4 cabinet/MPU) and it is happy with the pennies.

Slightly diverging from the post, but keeping true to the topic:

Just seen a Fortune £2000 on ebay:

LOTTERY FORTUNE £2000 FRUIT MACHINE ** £2000 PAYOUT** - eBay Fruit Machines, Coin-Operated, Video Games (end time 20-Sep-07 09:38:24 BST)

Ive never played an AWP with a JP beyond £250 (well £500 if we include s16).... well actually I used to play a club on £500 in my local casino (untill they knocked the place down from the inside and filled it with chrome bars and nothing but f*****g roullete machines and IGT slots).

anyway...

anyone play a £2k JP Fruit Machine? Must play so slow! I remember playing the Thunderbirds club that someone emulated years ago on £1k JP (I think) 50p play... that was slow, played it for about 20 hours over a few nights, didnt get close to the JP.
