Just paid a visit to local arcade to see what changes there is after new gaming laws to my delight 3 of the six sec 16 machines have been removed and in there place is Bobby Dazzler 25p play Cops n robbers 25p play and R....... sorry cant rember name all £250.00 jackpot.
They look like club machines to me but i am no expert. Forced Bobby dazzler with £60.00 for one million nudges and jackpot ,then put 20 coins in the R..... machine only 3 reels and on third shot at £.50 stake (there is 10p and 25p stake) got three red 7s for £250 jacpot! Was a bit confused by now never cashed in so much.
Look forward for another visit in two weeks time ( let machines tubes fill up)!

This question was most probably answered on another thread but there ya go. In relation to the new laws, one of the arcades near me have a few re modded £1 a spin machines. A couple of Monty Python's, That devils slotto one, and a Party Time slotto etc. However the ones that haven't yet been done in there have a sign on them saying they can still be used but you have to ask the staff to switch them on. Would they still use the old stakes and payouts? Is that a way of getting round the law? Again sorry if this has already been answered just curious. I remember a few of the machines switched off, one was Rainbow Riches and the other was one of them multi game ones.

my question about the sep 1st changes is that i thought fruit machines would not be allowed in railway station cafes/coffee shops but on having to have used clapham junction station twice last week, the machines are still there.
so are railway stations exempt from the changes or is it that they disappear when their current licence runs out or something?

AFAIK, they are breaking the law.

Here's what I don't get now - The basic amusement arcade can house 4 of these £500jp machines. But I assume they cannot actually have what we know as club machines which most have a lesser jackpot (even the £1000 jp's could be turned into £250/£500 at the flick of a dipswicth)
I'd actually enjoy a stint in an arcade which had clubbers in them
:dribble: Imagine owning an arcade with loads of old clubbers like Pontoon Club, Adders & Ladders club etc... Club Casino Crazy, Bank Roller, Club X, Club CLoud 999 etc...
Ooooh.

Is there some sort of technicality that says they can still have them? I mean, it's not just Clapham Junction that has them in their coffee shops on platforms 5/6 and 13/14
I can "report" if thats the word to use that Sutton still has theirs in both their shops on the platforms, East Croydon has them in each platform coffee shop, London Bridge has them in their Upper Crust shops on platforms 1-6
All of them switched on in a business as usual sort of thing.

Southampton Central has them in Upper Crust and Pumpkin on platform 1 and 3. Portsmouth Harbour has them in Pumpkin on platform 1.

Yes, the permits normally last for 3 years, so if they renewed their permits a month before the deadline then they can still operate them until august 2010, as long as they are category D machines i.e. £5 jp and no more than 10p stake.

Does anyone actually have the new "rules" that machines have to stick to now then or is it all behind closed doors ?
Is there anywhere joe public can get hold of the do's and dont's of the new changes
Like repeat chances , pot wins , streaks , inhanced play etc etc ?
Just curious

Does anyone know if the games in the bookies have multipule pots for each game or do the whole machines run to a precentage.
ie if someone loses £500 on the roulette, could you spin in a big win on the fruits?
