yup sounds like the mpu4 tracks might be f***ed by the leakage of the battery, it may be best just to buy a used mpu4 board of ebay.

hope this helps

is the programme card inserted correctly? (make sure no pin pins have bent)

is all the connectors in there correct housing? (make sure its properly connected with the correct connectors to the correct colour coding)

failing that then i guess its either the programme card or the psu at fault

hope this helps m8

Sounds like you might not have the plug for the switches properly on the mpu, or maybe the pins are dirty if the board was previously stored.

hi guys
im 99.9% sure all cables r in the rite place as there colour coded ?
one shows orange but theres only a red left is this normal?
any how im gonna take mpu4 apart give all pins a good clean as advised & check start button connection allthough i think its the whole row of buttons as i tried to re-seed the cashpot which u use hi/lo & they were dead ...

anyone know which loom from the mpu4 controls the buttons?

would posting a decent pic of the mpu4 board up be any good to look for any board faults?

cheers

look for the connector that states on the label *switch input* i can't remember the colour of the connector as its been so long since i done anything with mpu4. you can also trace the button wires back to the mpu4.

you can always trust the lincsmeister, pmsl depending how badly the battery has leaked it may be an easy fix.

trick of the trade is to solder battery away from the pcb so not to injure the tracks in the event of a battery leak ;)
