Hi all -
I've lurked around these forums previously but not had cause to post anything until now. I hope someone can help. I need help in identifying (and hopefully finding) a machine that I loved when I first started playing as a teen in the mid 90s.
It's a little tricky as I have no idea who made it and can't remember what it was called, so I'll do my best to describe it!
The general theme was ghosts/haunted house, and it had artwork including a kind of graveyard where the nudges lit up on tombstones and a haunted house above the reels where the paytable was. It was set to 2p play, £3 jackpot + repeater but could have been different elsewhere.
You could only get nudges by getting three inset ghost symbols on the winline, when a 'random' number of nudges would be awarded: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 99 I think. Lining up a new ghost symbol during the nudges would add more.
Symbols were cherries (which you NEVER got!), 1x, 2x and 3x bars then blue 7s and red jackpot 7s. Each win had an equivalent feature that you could exchange to. I don't remember if you could gamble wins or not.
The feature for the double bars (40p) was a skill stop on the pay table, where the first column was the slowest, the second was faster and the third was fastest. The most you could get off this feature was the 3 blue 7s for £1 repeater.
I think the jingle that played when it was time to collect has been used on other machines since.
I remember getting the £3 to repeat a further 4 times, giving me £15 on one occasion. That was pretty amazing when you're 13 and playing 2p a time!! I have lots of other good memories of this machine, from back when my £3.50 Sunday paper round money would last all morning! Now it's not even 2 spins on Rainbow Riches :-(
If anyone else can remember it or thinks they may know what it was called or who made it, I'd love to hear from you. Cheers.

If you mean Ghostbusters as in "Who ya gonna call?", then no. If that's what this machine is definitely called, then er OK! It's definitely somethingf like that - Ghost hunter, haunted house etc.

YES! That's the one. Didn't think I'd find it that fast.
Now, where can I get my hands on one?! Are any still in play even?

Great news - to Mablethorpe!
Any idea what year this one came out?
What sort of cash would I expect to pay for one if I found one for sale?
Thanks for your quick responses.

come to think about it if u really wanted one your best bet would be to go to mabelthorpe and see peter jackson and ask if he will be prepered to sell it if the price was acceptable.
