Hi, I am new to this and can not get anything to work I have installed various versions of mfme from 1 2 10_1a and the The_Italian_Job_1280DX Cops_And_Robbers_1280WDX or Apollo_9_1280_DX just crash the program or give a message invalid layout depending on the version of mfme i am using. The way i am loading is opening mfme then just opening the game from the folder i extracted it to, is this correct?
I have windows xp.

I am not sure what i am doing incorrect, any help would be great

ok, i have a new issue the picture of the machines now seem to load in version 10 but no lights and i can not spin to play? any ideas

Machines take around 20-30 seconds to load up (you will see various messages in the ALPHA DISPLAY whist the machine is checking the rom files) --- the same way a real fruit machine takes to load up when you switch the main power on.

When it loads up it will go into ATTRACT MODE (lights flash) you will then have to insert coins (either by clicking on the coin slot or pressing 0 - ZERO) - you can then press START (or SPACE BAR) to play.

I have been on this for ages now and still no luck.
I have windows XP
I have MFME10_1a.exe
I have Italian job 1280dx by (ROSS)
this has the following files in

DIGI141A.BIN, DIGI141B.BIN, fred.bmp, games.db, IT_JOB.BIN, italian job 1280DX.gam, italian job 1280DX.ram, ITALIANJOB1280DXLAYOUT.dat

I double click mfme10_1a.exe, this loads.
I then click file, load game, browse to the folder that italian job is in.
The only file displayed is italian job 1280DX.gam
So i open this file
then it goes back the the original screen and the program turns white you try to do anything and it says not responding.

HOWEVER, if i load the layout of any of the machines i have the image is displayed but not playable. As i say i am very new to this and have missed something no doubt.

Please can you help.

You need to update your Realtek sound drivers.
