Hi there, I have in my workshop at the moment a Maygay Spectre £5J, 10p Play machine, that I have just finished rebuilding and repairing. I would love to make a classic and a DX of this, as I can scan the glass etc before I part with the unit.

Does anybody out there have the roms for this machine? (software not physical!) Also is it possible to emulate, as the board is an epoch (yuk!) mainboard?

Any help would be appreciated, as its not a bad machine, and would be fun to do.

epoch isnt emulated yet .. propably in the near futer the best place to ask is over at Fruit Forums

i thought spectre had been emulated?? i think it was £4.80 or £6 jackpot 20p a play. or is this a new version of it?

Theres a BFM game called Spectre that was released a while ago.

Epoch is still under development as far as emu goes. But please please still get as many scans/pics as you can before you let it go, along with roms if you can get it. Hopefully it wont be long before you can do something with them!

Thanks to all, to clarify, BFM spectre is a totally different machine, which runs on scorp I, whereas maygay spectre is epoch based and less of a lo-tech. I will be scanning / photographing the machine from all angles, as I really want to DX this one. I know however, that there are ppl out there who already have the roms for this, just hoping someone can forward them to me to keep safe until the epoch emulation is ready.

Is Spectre the one with a 3x3 matrix on the top glass with ghosts and stuff? I seem to remember there being apples on the artwork as well.

Or maybe I was dreaming...

Hey, good recall. I've attached a pic of the machine. I will be selling this shortly, but will take as many pics / scans as I can. I will be looking for around £120 for the machine, as it has a new m/board which I had to fit, and is in pretty good nick. If anybody is interested, let me know. I also have a Barcrest Neptunes Treasure, which I am looking for around £120-£125, again all fully working, which is ready to go.
