Ok, I'm probably being really thick here, but....

I have a set of scorp 4 roms, fresh from the repro. But I cannot seem to get them to startup in a blank.dat layout? I have tried the obvious stuff, and the sound rom was no issue, but there are two main rom files .odd and .evn, which I renamed to .hi and .lo after looking at some other previous conversions. Either way I cannot get them to actually run, and they don't show up on the debug screen. Also how the hell do I create a RAM file? Layout design will be the easy bit once I get the damn roms to actually run in the blank template! Would really appreciate some help from the experts here.

Incidentally I tried a set of roms from an already dx'd machine, and I can't install those roms from scratch either.... But if I run the game, they are fine.

Looking at your post of Fruit Forums you were after a set of EPOCH roms - which I don't think run in MFME yet...

I was questioning epoch, but decided that until epee is up and running I'd concentrate on doing some other DX's. The roms I am trying to work with are Scorpion 4, but to be honest I just can't seem to work out how to load roms into the layout, expecially when there are two game roms for example, and I can't seem to do it with roms that other ppl have made work either, so somewhere I'm going wrong!

ok then what is the machine name roms that you are trying to ,load?

mazoomas ? yeah i might have know that mate, looks like a no go with that one. still there is laods at the repro to try just trial and error i guess
