hi iv'e got the maygay cash falls had it a few years now. just moved it and when i plugged it in it played for a short while say 5-10 mins then like shutdown and you can hear like a tick sound from speaper every few second intervals. once switched off for a while it will do the same startup then shutdown and make the tick noise every few seconds i was told it could be the game card come loose but all plugs are in alright. forgot to mention it has been in a garage for about 3 months without any power to it don't know if that means anything. i don't think it's anything major but i havn't got a clue were to start it's funny that it does start up then shuts down thanks in advance for any advice

all lights are on on psu if that makes a difference i wondered if this could be caused by a dodgy battery or any contacts oxidising due to it been stood in a cold maybe damp place

That would certainly put extra stress on the psu!
I have had these psu before with no sign of a fault; all lights on and running the machine perfectly etc.
Then for no reason they just reset! They are notorious for it.

once it goes off the reset led flashes on the game card don't know if this helps diagnose anything

Glad to hear it is sorted.
Just goes to show it is often worth taking things apart in case it is an obvious and easily fixable fault.
