When I try to run the emulator, I get "The BFMULATOR.EXE file is linked to missing export DSOUND.DLL:12" and I also get "A device attached to the system is not functioning".
Anyone know how to fix these problems?

Sounds like your machine either doesnt have a sound card installed or the drivers need updating.
I know if you run it on a machine without a sound card you get an error about unable to initialize sound.dll.
Check that ?

BFMulator needs directx for the sound emulation,
You must have directx installed even if you don't have a sound card.
BFMulator uses directX 8, but it will probaly also run on an earlier version.
