I've just had the best and worst days of my fruitie 'career' in 2 consecutive days! Stop reading now if that's enough news for you, the rest is me getting it off my chest...

I went on a 12 hr spree on Saturday, starting off with a DOND WoW in the pub at lunch. No wins of any significance, broke even after a mega streak. Moved on to bowling/entertainment centre where the bar has another DOND and a Lucky Strike (think that's right name, gold mine theme?). Got the streak after £25 in, but only for £35. Lost most of it again on the DOND.

Moved on to the bingo late afternoon and this is where the wins came! Started on a converted Elvis with a streak for £72 off £5 in. An old chap came up and asked if I'd won anything and I said well yeah, I have. He says he put all his money in there and won nothing. What do you say?! All I could manage was "that's a shame" which with hindsight was probably even less tactful than keeping schtum. But what does he expect? "Oh, sorry, here, have my £70."?

Anyways, next streak comes off Cannonball Run (Empire?) with a £100ish streak off £30. Get a few £25 jackys off £15-20 on other machines and then put a few quid in to a Midas Touch (Empire again?) and get about £20 and leave it in while I take a bingo break (won £15 on last full house)!

Post-bingo I resume playing Midas Touch and after another £20 it streaks like I've never seen a machine streak! I was too shocked to recall all the wins, but needless to say I had over £200 in pound coins in the tray when I came off it.

Ended the night by going to the casino and winning £40 off £20 on roulette, then got a £90 streak on one of the £4000 jackpot slots. Feeling pleased with myself I called it a night and went home at 1am!

Now for the worst day...

Sunday comes and I'm pretty pleased that I have all this cash on me but to be 'sensible' I put £100 in my wallet and leave £200 at home as I know I'd only gamble it if I had it.

Went to local amusements and played £10 through Drac Pack, which I'd normally force at all costs but I was being sensible so I took a £5 and moved on. Started on a £35 Astra Double Decker 25p/50p stake. Got an £11 top reels off £5 on 25p so I thought "ello, worth another few quid". I stuck it on 50p to up the %. Got nothing but a few £1 wins but I carried on. F*ck me was it on the take. Turns out the first feature was the end of some other bastard's streak.

I put the whole £100 in and didn't get up the top again, or any win over £1 for that matter! So I march off to the cash machine in disgust, take out £100 hoping to get a jackpot in the next £20-30. No way. It took the whole £100 and gave nothing but a £9 feature.

I was £200 down in about 30 mins and felt sick. I thought about going back to get the rest of my cash but the though of losing that too made me feel even sicker so I just left it and decided that today would be the worst day of my fruitie career. Never again! EMUs and 2p/£3 play from now on...

You get your good days and your bad days. What i have realized is that one day you might win 95 quid and walk away, and then other days you have a really bad day and lose 95 quid or even more. This week i got payed 300 quid took 50 quid out for the day and then i went in to coral and went on the machines in there and won 75 quid off 9 quid .(why didnt' i walk away with it:bigeyes14:) so then i was up 65 quid so i would have had 365 quid all together but then in the next 2 days i lost it all on gambling.I really feel gutted.

went to the local diddlers im goiing old school now(lets face it they diddle),had a bit of wedge on me so i start of playing it safe, you know oxo mab systems £10 jackpot, had a run on the nudges wink came off £30 up.so im good,i can hear rainbow riches dual machine in the background, now im battling with the demons.luckily people already on them and somebody just got silver pot £340 odd.cant help myself i shuffle over to cashino 1hr later £300 down biggest win £46.i cant use atm as i maxed £200 for the day.so i get out of order sign off cashier to place on cashino while i trot of to bank for counter withdrawral.get dosh head back starting to feel hot now as machine is laughing at me as i shove £20 in after £20.£200 gone down £500 now.all this time i have had just 3 bonus wins with crap payouts.the guy next to me is coining it in on the £500 jackpot, bars and x's and it's not helping.when do i cut my losses,as from previous experience these machines can take well over £1000 without a glimmer.i have got £200 pound left.in the meantime since i have been in the arcade there's been a guy playing the £500 jackpot machine,it's the one with the starfish, turtles, red mines bombs etc.sharks are the jackpot.he's was there when i came in and is cursing.talking to himeself,he leaves,so i go over there,it cant get any worse,£40 in couple of small wins and 3 starfish,4 goes later 4 starfish and £166 pound win, still no good though as im still £300 down,so i think i will play of the odd £16 and call it a day.better £300 down than £500 to £600.hit's button ,nothing again nothing,£12 to play hits button i can't believe it 4 mines,im so excited it sad,i just touch the screen where the mine is £450.after all that im up £150.so all in all i spent afew hrs of my life putting myself through it for £150 quid, was it worth, cause it was im £150 better off.na it's not worth it really because i been here before and lost over £500 and then on the way home feeling guilty,i have kids, wife, the things i could have bought etc,you all know.but why do we do it.there is no way of judging these new machine except the likes of rainbow riches if the pots are high or on max, there worth it but the rest are just random, not like the old progressive types.
theres only 1 winner and it's definatley not the public.
moral i know it's not the same but stick to emus.
ps thank god i know nothing about horses

If that's your worst day then i wouldn't start worrying yet ;). Just make sure you learn from it. I never used to but i am starting to. Slowly. Being up, and then ending up lower than when you started, has happened to the best of us at some point. It ain't a good feeling.
Ey Up!

Yeah i have been there also.

The other week i was hammering the Club Deal in my local arcade, £300 and 4 hours later the place was due to close. Asked them to keep the machine for me but decided against it, just as well i told a mate who went and played, another £300 later and she came away with £300.
