So let me get this straight. This machine comes up for auction. Ady once again takes it upon himself to set the wheels in motion in order to attempt to claim this for the scene. Then someone comes along and waps a large bid in the name of the scene, expecting some re-embursement and wanting nothing to do with the machine if he were to win it? And in effect, wasting Ady's money by making it more than what it could have been to win.

I can't help feel that theres something fishy going on here in order to inflate any potentially winning bid amount.

A machine that is a non worker.
A machine we don't know much about. Wether it's the excitable £6/£3/£2/£1 @20p play version, or the not so enthusiastic £3/£2/£1/50p @10p or 5p play version. It appears that theres no token slot on the small images which may indicate this is not a £6 jackpot.

I feel someones trying to stitch up Ady with this one. Trying to sell him a lemon. Hit The 6 is a machine that many are very excited about but I don't think the seller and his 'stooge' should get Ady's time. The machine is by no means a 'holy grail classic' and any seller should be highly delighted to have his storage area cleared by someone else, cleared of a none working machine, for simply a few quid.

If communications with the seller comprehensively establish that this is the 20p £6 version that people are really excited about, then maybe £40 is worth it. But from what we know, it could be £40 for a piece of junk that has long had it's roms removed.

Sorry to hear you having your fingers burnt Ady mate. Just glad you smelled a rat before parting with your cash.

Ady was highest bidder, then the machine was removed from ebay & relisted, the relist had the Title changed from "fruit machine" to "hit the six fruit machine".
Ady didnt know it had been took off ebay & relisted so i bid on it for £25 on what i thought was ady's behalf (& the site), as a few people on this site said count me in for £20.
If it never got relisted none of this would have happened.
Personally i wouldnt pay more than £40 for this machine as is.

Just got a reply from the seller - he reckons it's 20p play and £2.40 jackpot. Shame as I way praying it was the £4.80 version:(

True mate, but the resources will be good for a DX, then we wait for the £4.80 ROMs to turn up... well it sounds simple anyway :)

you could be right - would be a shame if it was £2.40 version, but would DEFINITELY sell for a whole lot less so no bad thing for us!! :) :)

Tris, wasn't the jumping jacks a 5p £3 machine but could be made to run 20p £6? Or was there a spare set of roms in it?

Was 'Hit the 6' out as a £4.80 jackpot? I always thought it came when the £6 jackpot was in, hence the hit the '6' bit.

But then again, 'Hit the 4.8' doesn't quite sound as good lol.

Just had a reply from the seller with Pics.

Is it just the image...hope so bad news if not....I looked at the lower glass to me it looks like some dodgy flaking....also the graphics as you can see are the less attractive £2.40.

zipped the jpg's rather than make smaller.
