Have just dowloaded this machine and got it running , however every time I hit the start and get a number the machine freezes and I have to reset - very frustrating.:bigeyes12: Has anyone else had the same?? or have I missed somthing? I also have no sound??
Sorry if I sound naive but this is quite new to me and would be grateful of some useful advice.

When originally done the layout had no sound and run on the leaked 1.46 beta when loaded into version 2.5+ it does what he describes the fix is to use a sound rom, preferably the correct one but any impact sound rom will work just the sound will be random.

Hi,

I'm having the same problems, and although I've downloaded and extracted the sound rom into the directory it isn't doing anything more than the one spin freeze with no sound.

It then struck me that I really have no idea if what I did was the right thing so I thought I'd ask.

Could someone please talk me through it?

Thanks.

Alth... although your reply is correct, you forget that some of these players don't know how to edit layouts etc... :)

Ok guys n gals, this is what you need to do...

As explained above, you need the files Alth has provided, basically the guabs.hex file as this is the sound file. Make sure they are ALL in the same folder.

Now the tricky part, go to the folder and find the file called guab.jpm, select open, then select a program, choose notepad or wordpad to open this... the file should start like this when opened...

PROG1=8841.BIN
PROG2=8842.BIN
SOUND=
LAYOUT=GIVEUSABREAKCLUBDX.JEL
COIN=BINARY
SPEED=300
PCKEY=15
SPKEY=57
DIPS=255
etc....

You'll notice that there is NOTHING in the sound portion, so enter the name of the file GUABS.HEX next to the SOUND= part so it looks like this now...

PROG1=8841.BIN
PROG2=8842.BIN
SOUND=GUABS.HEX <-------- now sound is added
LAYOUT=GIVEUSABREAKCLUBDX.JEL
COIN=BINARY
SPEED=300
PCKEY=15
SPKEY=57
DIPS=255
etc....

OBVIOUSLY don't put the <---- now sound is added bit.

Then save the file.

When you next load GUAB, you'll find that the on off alarm actually sounds. It should now all work.

Thank you very much. And yeah, you're quite right in thinking that some of us really have no idea how these things work (We just love the flashing lights ;) )

I look forward to playing possibly my all time favourite Clubber in the privacy of my own home tonight :)

OK, so sound Rom sorted, thank you very much.

Now this is one of those awkward JPM machines which pays out 20/40/60/80 pence on some wins.

This appears to be an issue since there are no 20's in the machine, and I can't find a way to top them up....

The only coins in appears to be £1 and £2, no button for 20's.

Does anyone know how to refill the 20's hopper for this thing? (I have enabled it, though that hasn't done anything to help me).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Vike.
