I wonder how many views this thread will get...
Things Needed:
1x Tube of expanding foam
1x Rare earth magnet
2x Lock Pick Set
3x Swiss Army Knife with 'pick axe' attachment.
Can you see where this is going... i'm just biding time waiting for the wife and thought i'd write a little how-to!
Anyway,
1. Take expanding foam and fill speaker surrounds to inhibit pesky alarm sounds.
2. Take rare earth magnet, stick lower right hand side glass. Assuming pound coins are magnetic, (I haven't checked), pounds coins will be lifted from the hopper.
3. Remove the magnet. Assuming coins are above payout slide, you're in for a win.
4. If the above method doesn't work, take your lock pick set and have a go at the locks on the front of the machine; If successful, pop open the lid (front opening only!), stick your hand in the hopper and pull some coins.
5. Oh dear, magnet and lock pick set no good?
Take swiss army knife and whip out pick axe attachment; hit the glass panel in one corner. It may take a few swings, but the glass should break. Again, stick hand through broken glass, taking care not to cut yourself and whip out coins by the handful.
6. Assuming it has taken you less time than it takes for the owner of machine to pull bits of your anatomy off, run...
I haven't personally tried this out myself as I have none of the resources needed.
I also cannot be held responsible for any personal damages attained from attempting any of the methods I have described.
It beats feeding coins in machines and reading endless ebay manuals, that I am sure of!
Be sure to correct me where I may be wrong E&OE accepted.
Heh... I need to find something to do, quick

Heh, Just read your thread PJ and I was thinking exactly the same!
I think this little thread started whilst I was thinking about those helpful landlords poking there nose up the side of their fruity when your playing it.
I was just venting a little anger over pub machines and their respective owners as i've been on the recieving end of the same sort of treatment.
Luckily the landlord who was having a rant at me was built like a twiglet and he didn't have the backup he was hoping to have when I told him what he should do with his machine
