I dont know if anyone has noticed in their local QUICKSILVER gambling den,but they have recently put on the windows outside a load of bumpf which says "What can £1 win" and a load of "£500" stickers all over the shop,.....the chances that just £1 wins you £500 there on the spot is highly unlikely,are quicksilver breaking the law?,im sure they are.......

no its not illegal, they are just wording it the same as you only need to stake 25p to win £35.
of course the odds of the jackpot dropping in on your first credit are high but it is possible.

It's only like Lotto advertising on TV saying you can win so many million for a £1

they are not guaranteeing you win off your pound but how many times have we seen a jp repeater on a line with no credits, you put you £1 in and it hits repeat so theroetically you have won £25 for 25p so thats a nice earner

Although we have One in Brighton I have never been in Quicksilvers, we do have 3 Nobles....I wondered, how do they compare with 'value-for-players'?

Hi ady
Well up here in the not so sunny north east you dont get much choice as Nobles are based up here thay seem to almost own every town round here when it comes to inland arcades as an example see the counts below
Middlesbrough = 3
Stockton = 3
Redcar = 2
Darlington = 2
Hartlepool =0
Sunderland=1
And thay tend to have there machines on low percent allthough i have some good wins in there I tend not to play in the Nobles arcades as much as i used to now, we do however have some other operators moving in such as Quicksilver, Victory Amusements, Gillys and Mason Amusements plus a few other local independents, I can recomend the 2 arcades in North Ormesby and in Thornaby new town centre all owned by a local guy and has machines on the 88% mark allthough no good if your not into low tech as he has no hi tech in there i have had a few good wins in there.

We have one in my local town centre Ady..the last time i was in there it was my birthday..and one of the dudes came up and asked if i had a Gold Card or summit..Hes like "oh it only take 2 mins to sign-up..and everytime ye come in ye get free credits"..and if ye sign up today we will give you £5 worth of credit..if ye spend £5.
I was like...Aye ok..go on then..took all ma details..then came back and said..just spoke to my manager..and since its yer birthday..were gonna give ye £10 credits..instead of £5..So i was playing a Hokey Cokey..and he goes..ye want it in this one ?..Aye..so i put my £5 in and he put £10 in..no bad cos i won £44 off it
Ive had stuff through the door with vouchers and that for free £5 worth of credits etc..never been back since though.
But id say on the whole they are a lot more "customer friendly" than Nobles.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know.

WELL,....in gillingham (kent) there are 5 amusement arcades (3 next to each other),7 betting shops and a "casino" down just one street (opposite the railway stn)....
....can anyone beat that!,....the council must be really f***ed in the head to allowed all them to be there! (MEDWAY COUNCIL)

Blimey glad i don't live there i'd be skint all the time lol with all those so close together, i'm wondering if one arcade is losing out to the others. We've only got 3 and they struggle to get people in at the best of times.
Cheers for the directions to the Casino i get paid in a few weeks lmao (joke )

Cliff, not sure if you are familiar with the area, but do you know the name of the place that is in the main shopping area in Billingham, not far from The Forum? Guessing it's one of Gillys and Mason Amusements.
Been in that one a few times with my visits to see me cousins. Seams a quite all right sort of place.
