It's not a paid job, it's not a glamourous job, and you get flak for every decision you make. Basically for 'stanmarsh' what it means is that he can focus his attentions on the more important things in life.

In this instance Ben to be honest, the point is that isn't it Stan's decision to stand down rather than another mod's decision to "do it on his behalf and for his own good?"

I deal with a lot of volunteers at work and thank God we have them is all I can say. If I started to discriminate (and that's what it sounds like is happening in this scenario) against potential volunteers who have honestly filled out their applications because they suffer from depression, anxiety attacks, mental health issues, bad migraines (or even in some cases all 4 of the aforementioned issues), there would be several organisations come down on us like a ton of bricks!!!

The truth is that there is still a lot of discrimination out there. Until certain members of society stop laughing and joking, or even worrying about people with minor disabilities then they will always be discriminated against and I think this attitude sucks.

I'm not saying for one moment that this is the real reason behind the decision to relieve Stan of his moderating duties but if it is...then shame on you all!!!!

Sorry about the edit but I thought I would add that volunteering, for some people is their first step back into society after suffering illness and therefore is "very important" in life.

Hope this doesn't turn into a major kick off. It would be a shame as the issues don't even relate to this site directly. But it is sometimes good to get things off your chest especially if you think you've been hard done by. I just hope it doesn't get too personal is all i'm saying.

I think it's safe to say it's very rare we have probs with the mods on this site. If ever. I never have personally. If we have a problem we discuss it rationally and sort it out. I think it boils down to some people like their little bit of power and abuse it. Not saying anyone has in this case. It happens everywhere. I hope the site doesn't now start going downhill as in full of rows etc. It would be a shame. If people like that sort of thing then they know where to go and it ain't here if ya catch me drift

Well this is it. With FE, I know I can be safe in the knlowage that the staff here are as about as open minded as possible, and have absolutely no affiliations with any one group.

Problem is, even with myself choosing such a place as FE to "spill all", it's a bit unfair on staff here to be putting up with the affairs of another FME related site, but on the other hand, the FME community has a right to know such injustices that occur, and in particular, those who sponsor such sites.

It's not a decision I have made likely, but I feel it's the right one to make, and yes, this will most likely will result in a "major kick off" with an affair such like this, but I can not see any less evasive ways of dealing with this issue after I have tried to resolve matters directly.

FE Hasn't and never will be a war-zone, its Moderated to make it as user friendly as is possible.

I/we (we staff to date having seen the post) have read the thread in full and do not see any reasons as yet why we should become involved.

It's extra stress you could do without though mate innit. Well yeah it is good to get things out in the open i guess. I stick to here, i have looked at other related sites but not even bothered joining them. I hate that. Like Royston Vasey "Are You Local?". When people are made to feel uncomfortable if they don't know such a body or whatever. New members here are welcomed as long as they don't come to cause trouble. That's what i like about it.

At the end of the day mate don't let it get to ya. Easier said than done. I used to get personal abuse on other sites, so i stopped using them. I hated doing it but i gave in. I let them drive me out. Don't let them do the same to you. This post is meant for stanmarsh btw.

Ady, I can not, and will not ask anything more / less from yourself and the rest of the admin team here.

The mod / admin team here have, in my eyes, done the best job they can ever do running such a place, and have been as unbiased as they can be. A refreshing change for once in the world of FME.

Blatant and total abuse and will be unpunished also a few posts he made prior to that has real names in a no no at FF.

Firstly there is nothing wrong with that post whatsoever. It seems there has been a misunderstanding which has now been cleared up.

Secondly real names are postable on FF unless the user has a problem with it. The only way to know if it was the right person was to say the name.

Oh for f***'s sake let's cut through the bullshit.

Stan was a double-agent, plain and simple, and his mission was to f*** up FF, and particularly Andy, from the inside out.

There is a an absolutely irrefutable trail of evidence which shows that Stan was taking moderator discussions from FF directly back to the "anti-Andy" mob, who then used that in their ongoing crusade to damage and/or destroy FF, and more specifically, Andy.

They f***ed up, and they got rumbled.

(And when you add in the Ga**h L**g stuff, especially considering how Stan was trying to work this angle from the inside, it all becomes extra stinky.)

None of this detracts from the seriousness of what's going on in Stan's private life. Personally speaking, I genuinely wish both Stan himself and his mum nothing but the best in terms of both their physical and mental health, and I hope they both come through this dark time stronger and healthier, because out of the darkness can come light.

As I know Rogue personally, I can say with absolute conviction that he would never wish any malicious harm upon anyone, and that he is the most fair-minded individual you could ever wish to meet, and that in taking the decision to de-mod Stan, he was making a call that he felt was in the best interests of both Stan and FF.

There is no excuse for posting a PM chain between a super-moderator of a forum and that same forum's admin - but that is what Stan has done. As a moderator on a forum you should accept certain responsibilities, one of which is to keep confidential stuff in the "confidential box" - Stan has made the choice to ignore that "common decency" rule.

IMO, Rogue has acted fairly and with an even hand, and he's taken action which has been in the best interests of both Stan and FF.

Stan's reaction to Rogue's decision lends tremendous credibility to the assertion that Rogue did in fact make the correct decision.

In the meantime, the only people who seem to really pissed off are those who've lost their fast-track news reporting service to the FF moderators' forum.......

And a final message to Stan, concentrate on what's important, concentrate on yourself and your mum, because in the greater scheme of things, FF means absolutely f*** all.
