Basically its a driver you upload to the FS of the phone that adds functionality such as bigger videos the process is a little involved for a newbie to phone modding (not being partonising but there is a real danger of f*****g things up).

as i know only too well.......... having totalled a S/E k750i trying to upgrade the software once- i wouldnt do it again- a bloody expensive balls up

Actually I see you are in Blackpool I don't mind doing it for you pretty sure number1s driver allows you to make vids in the max res the camera can do I aint back there till new year thats the only problem.

BTW is the phone branded to a network?

its safe if you know what you are doing and have a service cable so you can run a restore on it if you balls it up, my favourite trick is flashing a k750i to a w800i same hardware used in the w800i, k750 and the T mobile branded D750i all can use the W800i firmware.

The K800i can use the software for a k810i the one with the horrible round buttons looks more like a telly remote IMO my k800i runs k810i firmware with a custom camera and has acoustics based on the w850i.

Mods on my phone:-

Halmer certificate (means I can sign java apps so they no longer ask for net access)
Custom cam
Custom acoustics
K810i firmware with lighteffects fix

I have never unlocked one of them but I can debrand it removing the welcome to Vodafone shite and the mp3 as ringtone limitation if the f***ers still do that.

Btw there is an advantage to flashing to a k810i, photofix, fixes over exposed photos and trackid uses gracenote to ID songs also check out the christmas thread I uploaded a game for you.
