just a quick update on this, i am in two minds whether to release this or not as c.c has done a cracking dx, reading his post of last week saying that he had no intention of doing one i decided to have a crack at it. but he had the weekend off last week and decided to create his first for around 18 months, so rather than tread on his toes/steal his thunder so to speak, after all HE DID SOURCE THE ROMS and release them to which i tip my hat to him for that, i am not too sure if i should release this for a week or just not bother releasing it, at all ( as it's probaly not all that great anyways). having said that there is loads of machines that have 3 or more different layouts.

A few people around here know me and know what type of person I am. Treading on toes or stealing thunder, it has never bothered me. And to be honest, the thunderstorm has now passed anyways lol.

I've said this in the past and I'll say it again. Theres never too many versions of a layout. Firstly, it adds to the amount of games we have. Secondly, I pulled a few tricks out of the bag making my version. A great deal of stuff that I thought was beyond me, but I tried, and pulled them off to a reasonable standard. So my version wasn't guaranteed to happen. An unexpected gift of a chunk of free time I didn't expect meant my layout emerged a great deal faster than I had anticipated. So for me, it was learning once again. Thirdly, why waste the work you have done? You have invested your time into your layout. Why have second thoughts on releasing? Your screenshots indicate that your version has things that mine never. The correct decals for one thing.
And are you so sure that your layout doesn't appeal to anyone?

Every layout that I released was in order for me to gain experience. In fact, this is the first and only layout I have made that appeared before anyone elses version. And with an excess of 20 or 30 layouts, I didn't hold back because someone had got there already.

This is a scene of talented people. Who should have every opportunity to show their talents. Wether good or bad, it serves to better the individual and benefits us all as a scene in the long run..

I totally agree....

Have a lot of respect for CC, a great asset to the world of FME and so level headed.

Helped me numerious times where I was at an end......and i'm lucky enough to have had a Coffee with the guy (shame it wasn't a beer!)

Every word he writes is totally genuine :)

Can not add much myself to which has already been said, but as ever CC shows himself as one of the true gent's of FME.

Wished there was more like you on FME :)
