Hi All,
I was down my local the other day and they had replaced one of the battered fruities with a new Red Gaming machine. It's snakes and ladderz.
Speaking to the gaffer apparently this machine is doing really well, but after playing it i struggled to see why. It stung one of the locals by taking £35 on 50p play before giving a feature. Playing the feature is really quite tedious. The music is lame, the board is boring and the high low reel is forever on a 10 or 3. I've never seen so many people gather around a machine so emotionless and really quite bored.
I dont consider myself a hard core player so im probably over looking why this machine is doing well. So what attracts you to play games like this?
Thanks

Yeah, Red Gaming Machines tend to take money through quicker than any other make but they then pay so big! You have to realise that Red's can take money through so quickly that it is unreal so stay well clear when the Machine is in a bad mood, try £5 and if it's sucking just run away from it. Red's are the only Machines I like as you dont hardly have to do anything to get a Jackpot, usually they give a high win from Nudges and then just a few Hi Los when in a good mood to get a Top Feature and on £35 they can quite easily do a £105 Top with another £35 shortly after but again do not get caught on one when in a bad mood!

i like that noise too, although depending what pub you're in you may have to be careful with it. You need to muffle it in the rougher pubs.

I ain't core...But will I win, won't I win? What'll happen, what to do? Especially PT...Believe it or not I do find the majority of em fun for casual play, not bothering with the reverse gambling nonsense for a flat top...A quick £2 in £3 out is all I need...And sometimes it can be good!

I like fruit machines for their barmy sound effects, and for playing the feature games. I don't play for the money side of it, but simply for the fun of playing the machine itself.

You'll find that although there are a lot of Female players, the majority for Fruit Machines is Male.
The reason people play them and enjoy them is no longer the fun factor like years ago, where walking away £10 was ok, nowadays it's the neadrathol (spelt wrong probably) method that takes us. (Hence why I stopped playing).
Basically, you see a new machine, take it as a challange, and atempt to beat it, when you beat it, it plays a nce tune and money falls out. Basic human desire to dominate machine.

Personally I think they are a bit like lawyers. Cold, emotionless and with no conscience, willing to bleed you dry.
(I may be bitter about how much money I lost as a kid on these bloody machines)
