need some help, ive got a maygay cash is king machine, when i switch it on it doesn,t boot up all power LEDS on the MPU are ON except the +12V LED which flashs every couple of seconds. Ive reseated the ROMS in the program card...no good. The PSU is OK i reckon, all fuses are OK and i can "false feed" Relay in the PSU so i get a steady +12v (LED stays on) at the mpu, when i do this though the other LEDs seem to fade on and off every few secs

Maybe it was a little harsh but there is not a single bit of manner in there whatsoever, therefore my post will remain. If mods want to move it feel free.
Would you want to help someone who doesnt address anyone (ie say hello) or say please or thankyou? NO i dont think so.

f*****g hell K that was harsh - at least the lad posted in the right section!!
He may not have said please or thank you but he was only looking for some help and not asking for something like Party Time
As for the machine - afraid I've no idea on this newer tech. Maybe Baz or Impact would have a better idea

hi yer and welcome to fruit emu spinninfruit
2 problems which are the reason for this one the psu which will every one will say or the problem is on your game card on your mpu 1a/1b the chr ic is damaged this can cause this to happen the machine go`s to start 12v flick on then off the reel goto step down or other things happen you need to get a matched chr$ the 4 or 5 numbers on that ic need to be the same
sound chr which is digi blar blar blar these two will cause a mega pain in back side if damaged
you can try the psu converting step remove the psu unplug first from the mains then turn it over now there two wires that feed the psu from the main move these from 220v to 240v or the other way around if this has been done or not in the past
hope this helps
myself, baz, and lincs and others can help
