Hi there.
Have read your forums for ages , and have dabbled in playing the emulated machines in the past.
But baught a real machine a few weeks before christmas , and it is on most of the day.
Played quite a bit yesterday and last night ...then turned it off as normal.
I have a Fruit Full ( Barcrest MPU4 ) machine which I turned on this morning , and all I get is a buzzing noise.
No lights , and no error messages.... just a dead machine with a buzzing nose .
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance.
Chris.

Buzzing machine and nothing else !! Help plz

Hi Chris,
I am no expert whatsoever but i would check all of the fuses. Open the back of the machine and look on the botom and there should be a silver power supply. Unplug the machine and check these one by one for breaks.
If that doesnt work then check the obvious, make sure everything is plugged tight in inside.
Hope that helps until an engineer comes on.

double check the gamecard hasn't just fallen out of its socket(on the mpu4 board).
other than that(if all your fuses are ok) it looks like your power supply is kaput.

Thanks for the replies ...
I had allready checked the fuses and all conections...to no avail.
But when I read your replies ... I went back to the PSU and left the machine on a while ...
was about to give up and gave it a BIG KICK...
Now it is working again and has been on a couple of hours.
I suppose this means the PSU has either a dry joint....or could be on its last legs ...
I will replace if the problem re-occurs ... as I know it can only get worse if I leave it as it is.

if i remember rightly, if u switch the machine on and the payslide clicks its usually an mpu4 (TRIAC) board fault, the payslide buzzes coz it doesn't return back to the normal position

In my instance the buzzing was coming from my speaker ( sorry I forgot to mention that )
Wondering if you meant that lincsleisure1 , or if you mean a noise from the MPU4 baord itself ?
Anyway , still on and working ok at this time.
Will see what happens in the morning , when I switch it on.
