Vista :: Recommend me some security software

Right then , tonight i got so pissed off with my laptop i decided to re install vista. I dont think ive done it right but its working and thats all im arsed about. I think the reson it was going so slow was because of Norton 2008 .. so i would be really happy if someone could tell me what anti virus software to get.

Anti-virus.
NOD32 is meant to be the dog's b***ocks when it comes to anti-virus protection.
After trying out a few on the market im happy with AVG Free edition atm..auto-updates itself and ye dont need to worry about memory or cpu usage out of it..it takes up very little of either.
Firewalls.
The one im currently using atm is Sygate firewall pro..which i "purchased" from the internet obv.
If your looking for a free one i would recommend Comodo firewall theres a free upgrade to pro offer on just now.
Obviously everyone has thier own personal prefrences just a matter of finding the right balance and which ones you prefer yourself.

hi gotta agree wiv todd on that one, been using avg free edition for months now, had same prob wiv norton, but avg seems to work really well wiv both xp and vista. would be my first choice!!

iam now using nod32 the best it runs in the back ground and you seem to forget its there till it pops up with a warning

norton 2008 should be removed from shop shelves and burned finds the viruses when its allready installed itself pc world allways try and force the crap on any poor fker trying to buy new pc go to local pc shop to try and buy antivirus they will try and sell you avg pro beacuse they say its better then the free version and will catch more viruses i have installed the free avg on many a pc and they are all yet to be infected i just my routers inbuilt firewall and vista no point in me using better firewall being on aol jack crap on bank account and credit cards close to max
