If an Mpu5 emu was released do you think Barcrest would keep using it as a current tech?

The longer it's not emulated the more games made with Mpu5 will be avaliable when it does (If that makes sense).

I've not got any pics of any single PartyTime type machines. The best I've got is Lets Party with a 2 machine linkup.

A couple of others in this pic posted to stir some memories too.

Hi Niles

As thease machines are indeed pc based it would be techincly possible to copy the HD, however I would not think there is a dongle in there, I would think that the HDD would only hold the windows OS the game will be on a ROM, and also the machine will probly check for certain IO items on boot such as the coin accs, RNG, hoppers, monitor, ect. Its also possible that the whole thing is either dongle protected or may be just protected by encrytion, all of thease i am sure could be got round with emulation, but as this is very current tech I dont think we want to go there at all, Mind you why you would want to build a fruit machine on Windows which is not the most stable os in the world, an I know this i work on a IT helpdesk lol, I keep watching the sluttos when i am in arcade to see the Bluescreen of death appear problely just as it was about to spin in the jackpot lol.
