Is it me (although I have heard from other forumers) but just lately the site refuses to load its pages when trying to access Fruit-Emu?
'Page cannot be found' keeps appearing at times over the last few days - about one hour ago as well. Is there a problem?

don't quote me on this, but I think it's the adverts. sometimes the adverts take longer to load than normal and the page times out, or maybe just a server glitch every now and then by the host service provider.
Not every pet in Pet Society is sweet and innocent....

Yeah Daryl..the server has been playing funny buggers for the last few days, randomly locking-up and generating database errors.
I have made the servermiester (Duplumiester) aware of the problem so hopefully next time he comes online he will be able to suss the problem.

Couple of problems here really:
1) The moregamers banner on the left hand side of the site sometimes makes the site load slow when their website isn't available - not a huge problem but I might consider removing the banner.
2) The site is sometimes unavailable at about 2am because the backup kicks in. This site and a few others on the server are now so large that the server is using all the processing power for the backup meaning other services shutdown, ie, mysql and webpage serving.
3) To combat point 2 we are moving to a new super duper quad core server with raid 1 so that point 2 hopefully won't be an issue anymore. However as a result of moving other sites it is making the current server unavailable when the sites are being packaged up for their move.
Hopefully I'll get all sites including FE all moved this weekend.

Yeah, it's all connected. Once the server gets to a certain load all sorts of probs happen. The connection error happens because people keep refreshing because the page isn't loading. This opens more mysql connections and eventually maximum connections are reached and it errors.

Seems ok today..but i noticed yesterday that the hompage was having trouble loading.
The green bar was full but the page stayed blank and white..then would load some 10 seconds later.
Aww well just one of these things i suppose.

It was all due to the moregamers banner on the left at the top. When their site is down it mucks up the loading of our pages. I have disabled the banner for now.

Still taking a very long time for the pages to load, especially the Forums section page. And again, the Homepage is extremely slow as well, and I have had Page cannot be displayed twice.

It loads the top half of the site then pauses for me for about 40 seconds before it loads the rest.
